    Thanks Kypt.

For Gily it will be even more interesting to see how he does as he will be opening with Watson when he takes Haddin's spot.

Man, I just wasn't sure about NZ. Seems to show from this first warm-up match. Ouch. And I agree with you, Marcus, Ireland did really well from the looks of it. They only lost by 35 runs; and they had the overs left to pick those runs up... but they got all out. Fascinating.

I'll check that out tomorrow, R_P. Same with the predictions here... ;)

Just Mello out dudes! :p... An interesting mascot.

My dad managed to get a Canadian cricket shirt in support of the team during the 2003 world cup, this time around we are in search of a Scotland shirt!

    Hopefully rather well.

Wow, seems like a lot can change in six minutes, epic. :p

    [face_dancing] for Aussies.

So, South Africa is the next major nation to have a slight hiccup and LOSE, it appears? o_O

I saw that. [face_dancing] Very nice, Google.

The first match is on Wednesday, apparently, between the Windies and Pakistan.

So jp, why haven't you predicted yet? [face_thinking]

I'd actually guess that Pakistan will take it.

First match is over - West Indies by 54 runs. Good start for them - they're my roughie for the tournament.

Pakistan aren't doing much to inspire fear in any nation at the moment.

They did beat South Africa in a warmup though didn't they?

And all there press conferences will be conducted in Urdu despite all the players being fluent in English. What the.

I guess I was wrong in my prediction. :(

Yeah, Pakistan smashed South Africa. If you truly think that, Kypt, what do you think about SA?

    That's... odd.

I didn't take too much notice of the warm up matches, as most nations wouldn't have been going full out in them, especially a team like South Africa. Pakistan, for the most part, seem to be a team that collapse when the pressure is on.

Australia beat Scotland by 203 runs - Ponting got a hundred, and McGrath got 3 wickets.

England vs NZ on the 16th is the first match of any real interest. Can't wait.

Also, hopefully someone else is working on icons, cause I simply don't have time...

Yeah, about those. I had an idea I was going to try tonight. Hopefully. O:)

How can you say especially a team like South Africa? Why wouldn't they be trying as hard? They are now ranked #1 - wouldn't you want to show that? SA is also a team to collapse under pressure, I must say; not just Pakistan....

[face_dancing] Go Australia! Ponting's form is still nice and intact - Hayden and Gilchrist didn't start off too badly, either. And McGrath... woohoo. He's still around. :D

Kenya beat Canada... quite convincingly as well, I must say.

Ireland tied with Zimbabwe, which is quite a good achievement by them.

New Zealand v. England tonight should be pretty interesting.

Well, that match has just started. England's one down after 3 overs. I honestly don't know who I'm going for. :p

Interesting that a tie occurred. You don't usually see those.
