Would you look at India's total!

Poor Bermuda. Five ducks in the batting side didn't help all that much either. :(

The Windies safely beat Zimbabwe as well. And we should have our cricket icons any minute now. [face_praying]

New Zealand are now guaranteed to take two points through to the Super 8's, which makes it more likely they'll make the Semi's now.

Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka could be interesting tonight.

Sweet, thanks for organising this, and sorry I was so slack and couldn't contribute.

I reckon every round we should remove the team's icons who get eliminated.

No worries, I just hope the MS Paint icons are up to a good standard at least. :p

That's definitely a thought we could do, so long as it doesn't annoy DV (icon manager :p). Since they're up late though, it might be a simpler idea just to cut them back once it's down to the final four.

cut them at they Super 8's, then final 4, i would say.

good to see the majority of Kiwi batsmen getting some runs - i have doubts over Vincent, though. decent games today, big game on Friday, though, between Sri Lanka and India. should be a cracker.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka is about to play Bangladesh. Now this will be interesting. Bangladesh have been on fire as of late.

I seriously think this could go either way.

Cricket: Former Irish chief dies at World Cup

A second death involving people asscociated with Sunday's Ireland-Pakistan Cricket World Cup match has been reported today.

The Associated Press reported that Former Irish Cricket Union president Bob Kerr died of a suspected heart attack in Kingston, Jamaica during the night.

AP said Kerr died on his way to hospital after his wife called hotel staff in the middle of the night.

Bangladesh have a chance to get to the super 8's, a small one, but a chance none the less.

Yeah, and 2 points into the next round. Some pretty average bowling early on against Canada, but still won by 115 runs or something.

Yeah another great effort with the bat from us.

With the ball a little suspect, but with Franklin and Bond on the sideline, there was no way that Chuffey and Muppet Mason were going to step up......losers

You're right. With Bangladesh set to play Bermuda in the other match of that group, the battle for the top two spots will certainly be close.

India's got a relatively good start. Sri Lanka's 2/77 off of roughly 20 overs. Not the fastest of run rates.

In the minor match, the Netherlands really cleaned up Scotland. [face_thinking]

Tendulkar should retire soon. He's pretty clearly not at his best, and I don't think he can ever get back to that.

"Hayden, who clouted the fastest century in World Cup history, reached three figures off only 66 balls. The record was previously held by John Davison of Canada, who reached the mark in 67 balls against West Indies in 2003. "

    [face_dancing]

Boy, I think India might just be outta here!
