    England 7/266

Ireland with a bit of a rough start - two early wickets - but boy, go get 'em boys! [face_good_luck]

They did pretty well - they were around level at the 40 over mark, but Englands extra class got them over the line.

Bangladesh vs. Australia tonight - could it be a repeat of Cardiff 2005?

People are saying England performed under par, but Ireland didn't get a boundary in over 80 balls during the middle, and we are talking about a team that beat Pakistan. The English fielding was solid throughout. It was a good game to watch.

The headline I just read said an under-par England team as well. Looks like they won comfortably, however, although I couldn't watch it of course.

    [face_good_luck] :(

Not looking good for the West Indies - 3/85 chasing 303 in the 27th over, with Lara out as well.

Saw the full game bar the last 2 overs.

Sangakarra has become a very, very good keeper.

Why say that now? I write it in the better fashion every time I post in this thread. :p

So does this result just confirm that Sri Lanka is the definite pick for the semi's over the Windies? :p

Windies haven't looked a semi finalist from the start. Sri Lanka are the 2nd favourites at this point. if we can beat them, though, that may change.

Bangla 4/127 off thirty-five overs. That's it from me for the night.

NZ is keeping their form up against the unknown dark horses. =D=

Edit: And just as I post that... Bond gets Hasan out. Make that 5/127.

9 wicket win with 20+ overs to spare. Good for the net run rate.

Still, we have had the easy games - we still have to play Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia...

That they do. And it will be very interesting to see how NZ does against them with all the injury that has plagued them....

    South Africa vs Ireland.

A bit of drizzle at the moment before the match. But... still: [face_good_luck] [face_good_luck] [face_good_luck]

snails pace at the moment. can't wait 'til these useless games are over.

the minnows aren't good for the tournament. 'tis blatantly obvious.

    :p

I'm amazed. I thought it would be a washout last night. But no, they managed to finish the game. 35 overs each, but it is still complete. The [face_good_luck] lost. :(
