Crow Costume Question

I'm currently in the pre-production stage of a Crow fanfilm set to start shooting in Fall (late October.) We're currently working on the costume which will be quite similar to Brandon Lee's version of Erick Draven (The Crow.) What I was wondering was if anyone knows where I can get a pair of pants that resemble the ones he wears. In the movie they are leather, we don't want to spend alot of money on leather pants when we can fake it with syntethic material. If anyone knows anywhere I can find these or of instruction on how to maybe construct my own. It would be really helpful. Thanks.

Thanks, I checked at a few hot topics, alot of them don't have any in stock right now. They have alot for women but none for men.

Isn't a headshop a place where you purchase supplies for recreational drug use? Or am I thinking about a different type of store?

 

If you have enough time, start scanning ebay. I've gotten leather pants for $18 there. Great find at the right time. Just have to be patient.

 

Depends on who's playing Eric. It IS possible to cram yourself into female leather pants.

 

Headshops are like a mix of, herbal drinks, smoking assesories, porn shop, knife shop & clothing shop in one

 

Have you considered just making the pants? I don't know if there's a similar area where you live, but in Los Angeles there is a Garment District where there are a bunch of vendors selling all sorts of fabrics really cheap. You could get enough fake-leather-looking material for a pair of pants for under $5. And pants can be pretty simple to sew, especially if they're just for a costume and don't require details like real pockets and such.

 

Ebay has quite a few leather pants for sale now, some are pretty cheap.
