It's freezing in here! All the other labs are nice and cozy with a 75 F temperature but, oh no, not THIS ONE. For some unexplained reason it's always 68 F. Dammit.

I can't take the ferry to the coast to see a friend. I had to ask her to drive all the way over here.
Well, my grandpa Merlie, the original "Whitey," had a stroke last Monday. He was sedated to ease his comfort and miraculously woke up the next morning. He went back to sleep, if you will, that night and hasn't woken up since. The doctors were optimistic that he would recover given Tuesday's events, but an MRI has revealed that he has had two strokes since entering the hospital. His feeding tube and oxygen will be disconnected later today, and it may take an hour or up to a week for him to pass. Hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.
