Sure, I would do it. It would be cool to become a part of scientific history in case they ever invent a way to bring people out of such a state.

I'd consider it...because if I woke up several years in the future everyone I know would be dead.

Possibly, but only because I'd love being able to wake up centuries later and say "I haven't gone by that name since before you were born."

No, never. When it is my time to go...it is my time to go. Plus the cost of doing that would bankrupt my family for generations to come.

 

I chose yes I would consider it, but this will most likely become obsolete for its purpose. Inducing hibernation and slowing down all bodily functions coupled with treatments for longevity...both of these items are on the horizon and closer than most think...would be a far better means of preserving a person with a terminal illness.

But even then I suspect that won't even be needed with regenerative medicine research.
