It's just speculation on my part

 

So um, have you guys seen that picture of Gwendoline Christie and Crystal Clarke on the set?



Crystal Clarke is walking with such swagger, and that cape...

Same here. While I do think there was one picture that was likely Daisy Ridley chatting with someone in between takes, all these others just seem like people are grasping at straws.

 

Woman on the right looks like Whoopi Goldberg.

 

I wonder how many of those female extras will be involved in blaster fights and/or space combat.

 

The one who is supposed to be Adam Driver looks pretty similar to me.

 

I personally didn't see the Ridley pic

 

This one... Daisy has a very distinctive build and I've seen quite a few pictures of her standing in this same pose. Also, Daisy frequently wears her hair like this. I must point out though, that doesn't mean I think she'll wear her hair that way in the film(though she may). I believe this is just her standing around talking to another cast member or extra while she wasn't busy filming.

No offense, but that build is not distinctive and you could probably find many pictures on the internet of women with similar postures.

Like how everybody seems to love our new goddess Daisy Ridley

 

That just happen to be on the set of Episode VII? Sure, whatever you say...

 

You can eyeroll all you like, but the fact remains that there is nothing distinctive about that woman's build and posture. Women with long hair often wear it up, that style is not exclusive to her. There were women on set that were not Daisy Riddley on the leaked Tatooine set images. It is more than safe to assume that there are multiple women around the production that are not Daisy Riddley.

 

I'm just guessing there is a chance that we might be seeing things that we want to see. It's obvious we all want to see the cast (I mean look at Batman V Superman and Avengers 2. They got high-res pics of the cast in costume and even some videos of them performing action scenes), what do us Star wars fans have? Low res distance shots of vechicles and some extras (who might not even be on screen for more than 3 seconds). After a while it would make sense to want to assume that blurry far-distant shots of extras might be the actual cast cause thats who we want them to be. IDK

 

Since we've gotten two reports on Lupita suggesting she's either the Cantina owner that knows Han or the Senatorial opposition to Leia, I'm gonna take a guess and say someone is mixing up Lupita and Crystal. I'll lean towards Lupita being the cantina owner since that was the latest report, plus that twitter picture of her holding a Han figure and she's older so there could be time to have a friendship with Han.

Crystal I think is the Senator who opposes Leia. Carrie Fisher's assistant tweeted that he loved his Star Wars girls, Carrie Fisher, Billie Lourd, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. I'm thinking Maisie was up for the role that Clarke got and now they've made Sellers some sort of aide.

^^^ Doubt it-if anything I'd say it's the other way around.

 

I suggested in the Anderson thread that he and Clarke could be "Wedge" type characters, but with something more substantial to do to warrant the whoopty-do of the open casting call.

Maybe, as well as being minor characters through the Sequels, they have something to do with the spinoffs. Centred on them maybe.

And/or, I thing that they are going to be on opposite sides of the conflict, and the Sequels romantic plot may not involve the new main characters, but a supporting "Romeo & Juliet" couple.

Or like Noel Clarke in Star Trek Into Darkness, they both get blowed up at the start

 

Yeah, I heard he had to slim down quite a bit for the role, and they hardly used any prosthetics.

 

Half of these rolls are going to be cameos at best.

 

Do they have to announce cameos?
