    That was wonderful stars!!!

I loved it. I loved hating Anakin, even though he seemed to be nicer in that last part.

    Argh. That child bothers me.

    :)

I'm glad that you have Luminara in this one!!
    She is way cool.

must have more!!! :_|! Or I go crazy waiting for more!!

diamond_pony oh, believe me, it is. it is. [face_laugh]

dianethx yes, bant did notice he was gone -- but that's not in this post. i spawned an idea that, well, stopped my writer's block! so i had to get it done with. har. thanks for reading. :D!

qui_gone nice? in the last post? yeah, i guess he was nice .. well, let's just say he's a confused, misunderstood, poor, teenage child. now, obi, on the other hand .. [face_devil]

i had writer's black for the last week .. but i rented the movie Tenchi Muyo! In Love .. great movie, by the way, if you loved the anime series .. and i spawned an idea. yesssss .. no more writer's block! this story is a little bit of a challenge, but i think i got it wrapped around my finger for now. *insert evil jabba laughter here.*

    ? ? ?

?Padawan Skywalker,? Luminara breathed a sigh of relief.

She had just arrived back from escorting a different team to the imploring planet. Though she had gone the whole night without sleep, and the whole day, she did not think it was needed. There was another that she hoped needed her presence. She would gladly sacrifice a few nights of sleep for him.

?Yes, Master Unduli?? Anakin said, turning from Barriss to look at the Jedi Master?s bright blue eyes.

?Could you tell me where ? Master Kenobi is? I would like to speak with him.? She turned to look at Barriss who nodded, a slight smile on her face of understanding for putting off a spar.

?Well, he was not feeling?well, not feeling good at all. He?s in his room.?

?How did?? He was at the Healer?s last night??

?He ? was?? Anakin?s bright eyes seemed to darken.

?Yes, I was ? quite worried.?

Her eyes trailed away from Anakin and her padawan to stare down the hallway into the vast Temple. There was a huge room full of statues, and she amused her eyes for a moment before turning back to Anakin.

    ?Well, he?s in his room.?

    ? ? ?

The dusty morning sunlight that stayed behind the curtains of his window seemed to dim the slightest. Obi-Wan would not have paid it any mind?except for the Force that swirling around him warned him of something. He didn?t know what. But he did know that this something wasn?t welcoming.

And he was surprised that he felt something cryptic, dismal ? maybe even dark. Though he sensed no presence near him, he couldn?t deny that he felt something. It was a feeling?it wasn?t a being. It was ? cold.

He shivered, pushing himself up off the sleepcouch. When he had moved, it seemed as if all the light in the room was purged. It all happened so quickly?and it looked so surreal that Obi-Wan wasn?t sure if he had dreamt it. But the feeling was real. The shadows on the walls were real. His puzzlement was real. His fear, definitely, was real.

Shadows, everywhere, crawling, moving? He felt something come over him. It wasn?t cold, it was chilling; it was freezing. It was the worst feeling he could have ever felt. And he had felt it once before in his life. This same feeling of helplessness, confusion?all pressed into one?a dark feeling: fear.

He planted his feet on the floor, his bright eyes narrowing, darting across the room. Something crawled on his bare skin, trailing up his arm. Eyes widening, he turned to see a shadow, nothing more, nothing less, clinging to his skin.

Although his body seemed to remain calm, his mind was racing. He was sure at what he was seeing?but he couldn?t feel it as a being, as a creature.

He stood, stumbling a little to the side, clinging onto the curtain of the window as he stared down at his arm. Suddenly, the curtain ripped off its hinges and darkness swallowed the whole room. Obi-Wan felt his breath hitch. The shadows enveloped him. It was as if dozens of ice-cold hands were trailing on his skin.

Blindly, in some kind of frightened attempt, he stumbled into the ?fresher. He felt around for the sink for anything that would make this nightmare just stop. All he heard was beating, of his heart, and the breathing of his lungs.

It was then the hand that he was using to suppor

    oooooohhhhhhh.... :_|

stars, what're you doin' to me here!!!

Beautifully written post, though sad. Obi's certainly a mess, good thing he has Luminara right now. :(

Maybe the 'cure' for this melancholy is knocking Ani off a cliff...

    [face_devil]

    Just a suggestion.

*points Ani in direction of cliff*
Yeah, that's the way to the Pod Race...
Ok, now I feel really evil, but, then again, ANI IS A BRAT!

Wow! A bunch of posts to catch up on and a new direction for the story. I like this change (not that I didn't like the other way :) ).

I am so glad that you kept Luminara. She seems the perfect foil for Obi-Wan. But poor Obi! :_| More please...Obi-Wan has to get better.

rrk :D thank you so much for reading! i'm glad you like the change. ;)

    ? ? ?

    ?Kenobi, tell me??

?I don?t have to tell you anything.?

For the past half an hour, all Luminara was trying to do was get Obi-Wan to at least say something?anything that was bothering him. She knew, just like any other, that telling someone your problem will make the situation a whole lot better. She knew from experience, as well.

Deciding not to slow herself with her own thoughts, she began to stand from where she was kneeling in front of his sleepcouch. Obi-Wan sat on the sleepcouch, his legs crossed, hands on his knees. His eyes were calm, but incredibly stern towards her. She turned her back to him, taking a step towards the door.

?Then I suppose I have no need to be here?? she said slowly.

?No. I suppose not. Thank you for waking me up, though.?

Luminara paused, her eyes turning the slightest. Then she shook her head. ?I don?t understand you.? She said it as if she was scolding him in that soft voice she used. ?What do you want me to do? I certainly know what I want to do with you?but what? What is it? What do you want??

    ?I? want??

    She nodded.

Obi-Wan looked away, letting his fingers trace the wound on the side of his head so gently he hardly touched the injury. ?Well,? he began in a whisper, ?I? don?t know.?

There was an awkward silence. Luminara was just about to take those few steps she could so she could get away, get out of this wretched room of his?one intoxicated with sickness?when, she just suddenly, turned around. She stared at him, and his eyes slowly met hers. Her eyebrows creased the slightest as she studied his features.

He was sick. That was all she needed to know.

?Well. Whatever you?re thinking, I?m going to disregard. It?s either I?m staying here, or you?re going to the healer?s. I think I may just call a healer anyway because??

?Don?t!? the shaggy-haired Jedi gasped. ?Stay.? He quickly got control over his voice. He had never, ever in his life remembered acting so desperate. ?Just stay, all right? I don?t want to go back there.? There, now he supposed he was making a little more sense.

Luminara wasn?t one to give up her fight so quickly, so he noticed. She just simply watched him. He knew that she thought she was doing the right thing for him. But he didn?t want to go back and sit in a white sleepcouch, healers running everywhere? Luminara began to walk towards the communit on the single table in the room.

But Obi-Wan was up in a moment. He stumbled towards her, shoving the commlink off the table before her fingers could even touch it. He grabbed onto her brownish metal wristband, pinning it down to the table gently, but swiftly.

?I? said,? his eyes wavered and he gripped her arm. ?I said don?t,? he breathed.

It was as if his body just suddenly failed him. He tried to step back, but ended up leaning against her shoulder a moment later.

    He coughed, choked, retched?

    ?Kenobi, Kenobi!? Luminara gasped.

The back of his hand was covered morbidly in his own blood. Finally, regaining his breath somewhat, he leaned back, his hand finding his sleepcouch, and he lowered himself gently onto the floor, leaning against the bed.

Luminara followed his movements. She sat beside him, her hand on his shoulder.

?A-are you all right?? she asked, her voice cracking. Calm, she told herself mentally as she stared at those deep greenish eyes. He?s fine now?

Obi-Wan didn?t answer. He stared at the ceiling, trying to breathe steadily. Instead, he was attacked by another fit of coughing. This time he didn?t try to sit still, he didn?t try to take the seizure with courage; he just collapsed into Luminara.

Trying to aid the young Jedi as much as she could, she closed her eyes, trying to let the Force guide he

Ahhh, another wonderful post stars !

But the situation is just growing worse and worse for our Obi. Coughing blood into his hand, collapsing against Luminara...

    And, naturally, Ani's thickheaded and self-centered. [face_eyeroll]

Getting very dark here. But I found Obi's small confession beautifully written.

    More soon... ;)

    Please?

I liked the Bright Eyes comment. It was quite lovely. So Obi-Wan is still coughing up blood and no one seems to want him to go to the healers that badly. Sorry, but as a friend, refusing to go wouldn't cut it with me - I'd be on the comlink so fast....Lumi needs to get up and do it!

Poor Obi! At least he's got Lumi now, and perhaps these temper swings will stop... hey, perhaps it's Ani controlling him, big fat baby sith that he is?!

Things are not getting better for Obi-Wan. Sure he has Luminara now but unlesh she knocks him upside the head while she calls the healers, it isn't going to help him much.

And Anakin...these are PG boards so I can't respond. Oh, he is so irritating. At least Barris isn't oblivious.

    Okay, ready for another posty. :D 8-}

ACK! i cant even read past the second post

Yet ANOTHER Anakin that is OOC, have you 'no' grasp of his character or are you just so blinded by your dislike for him that you have to ruin what was a good story idea for poeple who like BOTH Obi-Wan and Anakin? :(

This is a joke, you might aswell remove Ani's name from the title and replace it with Anakin-Bashing-Thread-XXVIII :(

Sorry if i seem extremly harsh but its im just sick of seeing these 'Obi is a poor mistreated perfect Jedi that is burdened by a hatful idiot called Bratakin who is evil incarnate' stories, if they can even be called that, they are more like an excuse for Ani haters to meet up :(

I would have probobly liked this if you hadnt portrayed Anakin as you have :(

I understand your point of view Alixen, honestly, as it does get a little boring reading the same style of stories all the time, but why, if you don't like the story, do you then post a message deliberately bashing it? If you don't like the story, don't take it out on the author, it's only a story for fun! stars didn't set out to annoy you! My own personal policy is, if I don't like a story, I just don't read it, simple as that.

Once again, I DO understand your point of view, and it must be frustrating for Anakin fans to see these sort of stories being written more often than sympathetic Anakin-based stories, but it really isn't fair to criticise the author for writing a story in favour of THEIR favourite character. Perhaps you should contact the Forum Moderators and try to organise an Anakin-friendly Forum? Maybe that would be more agreeable to you. Or perhaps you could write your own story? It could end up being one of the most popular here! You never know!

Again, I stress that I'm NOT trying to insult you or your personal tastes at all (quite the opposite in fact, I'd welcome seeing a 'nice Anakin' story myself sometime!). You're perfectly welcome to have your own preferences for a story, as everyone is, I just feel that you don't need to take your frustration out on stars for writing a story to their personal tastes!

I really hope I haven't offended you or anyone else, I just felt this needed saying. Perhaps, once you contact the forum moderators about a 'nice Anakin' forum, more peole will support your request! No harm is gained in trying!
