A little question of mine-the actors in SW both OT and PT have been in a lot of EU novels(well as their characters of course). Have any of them commented directly or indirectly about the books? Like "I was in the store and saw my face on a Star Wars novel." Has anyone heard of this?
The closest thing I have heard of that you are talking about is that Mark Hamill's kids (or at least one of his kids) read the books and they would occasionally tell their dad what Luke had been up to.
Mark Hamill advertised Vector Prime Chewbacca's actor, Peter Mayhew, used to come to these boards until some posters bullied him away.
Ian Liston, who played Wes Janson in Empire: "I love the books. Starfighters of Adumar and Iron Fist are amongst my favorites. I'm a great fan and I love the way in which Aaron Alston and Michael Stackpole and other writers developed Wes' character with so much fun and good humor. Wes is quite a loopy character!" Source. Peter Mayhew also said in a couple interviews that he had no problem with Chewie being killed, as its impact was limited to the EU and didn't affect his continued role as Chewbacca at all.
Mark Hamill apparently also praised Luke's son being named Ben, but the record of that seems to be lost forever. And the guy who played Gavyn Sykes in The Phantom Menace played Battle for Naboo.
Gonna go out on a limb and guess that the actor who played Janu Godalhi has read both The Clone Wars: Decide Your Destiny: Tethan Battle Adventure and Death in the Slave Pits of Lorrd.
