Do I? I love it! I will show you some pictures sometime of where I live. There is big hills, big tees, and there is a river and beside it is an old place called "Brierville". No one lives there LOL, but the buildings are still there. And above all, I like all the wildlife. For three nights in a row I have seen two deer and fawn when I have gone Quading.

Yah there's so many old bulidings in the fields. On George's property they still have the farm house and barn his grandfather built like 80 years ago, it was so neat. We saw one of those hopping deers when we were driving around, so cute. Yah, i haven't been too far north in years, i had forgotten how lovely it is. I might head on up there for the pumkin thing in, oh is it Smoky Lake? Right around there anyway. George was telling me some of the punpkins are like 800-1000 lbs, too cool, it would be a fun road trip. I'd love to see some pictures of your place sometime.

After seeing Shawn's 'deece' I am in a dilemna again as to what costume I want to get. Clone 501st in Jedi slaughtering blue or the badass Republic Commando. Other than that, I am enjoying my new job and wondering if BSG will come out with a complete season 2 in one box. I saw it at Futureshop and opted to get Spongebob Squarepants Season 4 (for the kids...really).

I also found out that I won an auction on Ebay for 12" Cantina Band figures. All 3 for a modest price of $30. My Star Wars hunger has been satisfied...for now. Lastly, I just finished reading, "Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader". Entertaining read about Anakin's new powers and new identity. The fall of Kashykkk was interesting too. Now onto Republic Commando: Hard Contact.

For all you Lego gamers out there, there was an interesting article on aintitcoolnews.com today. They interviewed one of the Lucasarts guys, who dropped an easter egg regarding the latest istallment:

MONKI: Are there any secret codes / cheats you can share with our readers?

DAVID: Enter UCK868 for a very unique take on the stormtrooper uniform.

    Enjoy!

Ya, some of the pumpkins are enormous. I have actually never been there, but I have seen pictures from it. I will get some pictures of the area, and pictures of the deer.

I got a new Deer count tonight: Two adults, most likely females, and two fawns.

Something you might want to see up North here is Haying in the 30's at Malaig. It has come and gone this year, but next year it will be around again. Everything is done with a team of horses. It is something to see. And it is free to get in, but they like a donation for families fighting cancer. I did a write up for the local newspaper about it.

Hmm, current events, eh? I went to this cool little shop called Red 5 today and socialized with the store owner for a while, talking about Star Wars, conventions, and fandom in general. I bought Obi-Wan's starfighter, a Kit Fisto and a Lando figure. Coolest thing was that because I spent over $50 bucks, I got a free Wedge Antilles figure. Check this cool place out. Then come chill with me at UofC, watching BSG on my TV, while we drink tea and eat ice crea-mmmm.

Currently reading Legacy of the Force: Betrayal. Just got to page 207, 3/4 of the way down the page and this:

    Tycho asked, 'Is Han -'
'He's fine,' Leia said. "Han shot first.'

Finished "Betrayal" a couple days ago and am now continueing on with my reread of the Thrawn Trilogy, "Dark Force Rising".

When I finally make it to Calgary again at the end of the month, I'll be catching up on buying several movies and books. Maybe I'll even get some more leather hardware so I can begin actual construction of my lightsaber holster v2.0, and some pouches.

I just finished reading Betrayal. I think I just experienced what it would feel like for a boy to get kicked in the privates.  [face_beatup]

HOLY MOTHER OF NABOO??!! I'm in such shock. Fantastic book - but I can't stop trembling at the thought of what's to come :(

    Very interesting twist, eh?

Will that particular character come to a show down and loose a limb in a battle with Luke.......or Leia?

This book can generate some long discussions, but the next book, Bloodlines is already out.

On TF.N's main page, there's an article saying that it's Mark Hamill's 55th birthday! Happy birthday Luke Skywalker!

It's amusing that in the Legacy books, Luke is roughly the same age o_O

What a beautiful place you have out there! One day, I want to get at least 4 acres. But for now, I live the suburban dream with my car and minivan. LOL

Hey, I'm heading to Calgary on Thursday (hopefully all freaking day this time!), and am planning on catching 2 movies. 1 in the early afternoon and 1 in the evening. I have 3 that I'd like to see: The Protector, Fearless, and Flyboys. Anyone want to make any plans to join me?

I'd love to come, but I have class all day Tuesdays and Thursdays. Maybe next time, Kris. But make sure you get out here a few times in October when the Halloween events start up, it should be a blast. I think I'll be in my robes for about half of October, or perhaps armour if I get my Clone Kit soon.

Shawn - how late do your classes go on Thursday? I'll be in town till late that night.

Halloween - I REALLY want to make it to some events. I have YET to actually to ANYTHING halloween-related as a Jedi!

But as usual, last minute weekend notice pretty much bars me from making the trip out. But, if I have a week or 2s notice, I might be able to swing some shift trades.

I'm done at 5. I suppose I could take in a movie. I'd go for fearless, Jet Li movies are always fun. Perhaps a 7-8ish showing would work out. What theatre were you thinking of?
