ST Curse words in the ST

Perhaps a very trivial topic, but something I think to be food for thought nonetheless

SW has never been a thing where curse words are dropped left and right. The worst it gets is "damn," which I believe is said all of three times, and "hell," used once or twice

Anyone think such words will be repeated at some point in the ST? Perhaps something worse? (Though I doubt that)

 

Bantha fodder fits for everything.

 

I, personally, think SW would be just fine without any. Even ROTS, darkest film in the saga, had no curse words. Look to the Middle-Earth films to see that cursing is not necessary for a great saga (though BOFA had one curse word). SW has never needed curse words to depict how bad things are, or get a laugh, or whatever. I don't think (either) "b" word is needed. I definitely don't think we need the s-word, let alone the f-bomb. If it were me, I'd leave it curse word free, but that's because I personally don't curse in real life. Time will tell, I guess.

 

"Oh shh...."
is about as close to cursing in the Star Wars saga. (I know its Indiana Jones but you guys know what i mean).

what was the curse word in BOFA? I haven't seen it yet but I don't consider a swear word to be a spoiler lol

though on the the subject at hand I made a comment a few days ago about How I would like Luke's first scene to be like when Kirk met Spock in Star Trek 2009

Aaand I just realized the way I typed that could possibly be mistaken for something much worse than it was.

The word for a male whose parents are unmarried, not a bull's excretion.

I think the strangest use of any slang word in Star Wars was in one of the Fate Of The Jedi books when Ben Skywalker said something along the lines of "Haven't you ever wondered why the freaking Sith keep returning!" it just caught me off guard because that's more of a real world slang I would have expected "Karking" or something like that or maybe it's just a bad line to begin with, strangely enough "Damn" or "Hell" in the movies don't bother me a bit lol

how about phrases like "a Rodian in Ewok's clothing"
