Knox, TN Custom board graphics!

Well, I know I promised you guys a new look for the board, and thanks to a fellow JCer, foxbatkllr, we will soon have it. As with the Fanforce icon, I did very little besides submitting images and URL's for images, but honestly, I don't have much talent for making high quality images and very little artistic talent to speak of, so I almost always need help to make anything look good.

I had seen foxbatkllr's previous work doing banners for other Fanforce chapters and his awesome contribution in the form of the new Collector's Board banner here on JC, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask him to help us. Not only did he accept the challenge, but he came through both quickly and with an amazingly good set of images for our group. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Please take the time to thank foxbatkllr for his efforts, and let me know what you guys think. I hope you like the new look as much as I do!

 

Do you have a link for the URL with the test on it? I think that every one would like to see what it looks like.

 

Well, it will be uploaded soon I hope, so we can all see it then. There will not be any kind of alterations made to the stylesheet (i.e. forum colors) so that will remain the same. The only change will be to the three images that comprise our board's top and left-hand sides.

I'm not sure exactly how long it will take to make the changes, but I think you will all be pleased with the results. If you can, try to veiw the banner at 1024x768 resolution, as there is a nice shot of the Knoxville skyline I think I donated there.

It's all super-cool!

 

They have been uploaded, just waiting for Rox to update everything.

 

Well, you would think the new images would have been updated in by now. It's been going on three days, but maybe something else is going on.

Oh well, we'll get them soon enough.

 

I know, I'm not sure what the deal is. He was very quick to update Orange County's graphics.

 

Maybe I should change the thread title to "Custom board graphics?" instead?

I'm starting to believe there was a breakdown in communication somewhere.

 

Maybe one of us should PM Rox.

 

I did that just about an hour or so ago. I'm sure it was just a goof or something and the new stuff will be up soon.
