Custom Icons Submission Thread Version 2.0

anidanami124: Thanks. You should see dArTh_wenley's version. It's better, IMO.

dArTh_wenley: Nice work.

Mrs_Kitty: Good icons. However, a few of them appear to be a bit stretched. For example, Anakin3 and Padme4 don't look quite right to me. If you're using Photoshop, remember to hold down the shift key when shrinking (free transform) your source pic.

 

I know what you mean, check it out 50x50 though, and think of it on the peachy background.

Well, I'm on school holidays and on account of looking for something to do, I came up with a few icons. Bare in mind that these are my very first icons and I really have no idea what I'm doing...

..but here they are nonetheless.

Any advice on how to improve them would be much appreciated.

I think this one has earned a replacement. Same look and original TPM source pic, but a better version.

5 new/updated icons

 

On the whole LittleJedi, keep the main picture sharp (not oversharpened), and interesting.

Also - unless it's a particular movie screen shot, or the type of icon that just can't exist without it, some transparency is nice.

Just keep working, you'll catch on, it's not that hard.

 

Frank_Palpatine there both good. I want them both to be icons.

I really like that wedding dress.

I may be asking to much but can we have an icon of Padme in her wedding dress. Yes I'm guy but I really like the wedding dress.

OK, folks. I have a fairly large update tonight for icons. However, I must do something that no one likes to do...delete some icons, both to make room and to trim the old/poor/out-dated icons. Please post your thoughts...

the LucasArts Icon needs updating and I like the Arena Padmé Icon but whatever suits or makes things flow better

 

I don't mind losing some of those to get new ones.

 

My thoughts:

AT-AT: There are already two other AT-AT icons. Just get rid of it. First | Second

TIE: we have another TIE fighter, but not one of these. If someone could make a better version, I'd suggest that.

E.T.: not exactely Star Wars but a cute idea nontheless

LucasArts Logo: Nice logo, bad quality. I'd suggest a new verison if someone has one.

Obi-Wan: Plenty of Obi-Wans. Let him go. Obi-Wans. I also suggest we get a new verion of this one.

Anakin and Dooku: nice pictures, but I've seen more interesting things done with them. Let them go unless someone has drastically better versions.

Padme's Back: a very interesting icon. A little weird, but I like it.

Kit Fisto: Let him go. We've already got two other versions.

Jango: I know Jango's popular but there are almost as many Jangos as Obi-Wans. Let him go.

Elan: I'd suggest a better version if someone has one.

Clonetroopers: Not an inspiring icon. Let's have a new one or just get rid of it.

 

I also suggest we get a new verion of this one.

Not a new idea, and if I'm thinking correctly, there are one or two replacements on Grilled-Sarlacc's Icon Possibilities page.

 

Padme's Back: a very interesting icon. A little weird, but I like it.

I agree, but I also had someone on the JC when I was using this icon, say, "What is that?"
