From the photos on the site, that bar looks NOTHING like Quark's. Bah!

The wedding packages are quite hilarious too. You have twenty minutes to get on and off the bridge, apparently.

 

Twenty minutes is all I need.

 

OMG! I wish we would've seen him on our last trip. One of our running gags was shouting "Goulet!" (a la Will Ferrell) at random.

We just got a silent Borg.

But they do have the most awesome drink EVAR. It has something like 10 shots, and they won't serve it to you unless there's 2 people drinking it. But I think there's also a "mini" version with 5.

 

I think we need to set up rules about taking pics or videos during our trip.

We dont want others to get the impression we were drunk all the time.

 

Why not? Everyone knows we were drunk the entire time during C4, which is why we all came home with a bunch of merch we can't recall buying.

 

* I mean to say we drank a lot of milk. And the reason we can't remember buying those things is we were overwhelmed by the excitement of being at C4 and meeting all those celebs.

 

I seem to remember talking about drinking was a big no no but then again, I guess that was prior to the con when there were rules. =)

 

There are rules now. She was asked to tone down the tenor of her posts and she has complied.

 

Talking about drinking has never been against JC rules. Posting while drunk and/or glorifying drinking, drug use, etc. is what's not allowed. Basically, the administration didn't want people going into JCC and posting threads along the lines of "I'm cmopletely pissed rite now WoooOOoo!" I'm not 100% sure if my post was glorifying drinking or not, but meh, I think Helen is right that it would have been a lot smarter of me not to run the risk of being perceived as toeing that line. You live and you learn and I'll be a little more careful when posting about that stuff -- even when it comes to C4 and Las Vegas.

Edit: Regarding Vegas, I found a nice site listing some attractions there. I didn't realize there were so many thrill rides on the strip, but that's all the better from my point of view. The volcano thing and M&M's World sounds cool as well, in a gluttonous sort of way for the latter.

 

Wow, looks like there is even more to do in Vegas except gambling, getting drunk and married.

 

Yes ther is plenty to do here in Las Vegas other than the big three Drinking, Gambling, and Marrying. We are proud of our no fault divorces, The over use of water fountains when we are in a drought, 16 year old age of consent, and no state income tax!

On a serious note, well more serious, I can field any questions to the best of my knowledge. Drinking alcohol is allowed in public places, ie. sidewalks along the strip, bus stops, public parks, ect. as long as you are of age and not physically incapacitated (making a scene). Many casinos are more family friendly and only require that minors not enter the gaming floor. Many casinos have restaurants, movie theaters, shops and other entertainment that they welcome children and the money they are willing to part with. Asa for wet rides I do not know if ther is one at the Circus Circus AdventureDome, they closed the wet n wild years ago.

 

If Trace and I go, we're going to renew our vows in front of a preacher dressed as Elvis.

 

Kendra is still trying to convince me to do a Hoff wedding...

I'd come and cheer you on. Maybe you can have a Star Wars-themed ceremony in the twenty minutes you're alloted with the preacher.

FYI: The Hoff is out! He is no longer in The Producers, he had committments that made him pull out before its final run. However now that he is not in the show I hear tickets are cheap! I think he is doing some "american Idol" type of talent show.

Wandercon? I may have to check that out, too bad they do not have a locals pass.

Elvis weddings are a dime a dozen here. I did attend a Star Wars wedding last summer, it was when Lucas was doing the United States tour thing with Vader, Wicket, and Chewbacca. I was in one of the pictures at Starwars.com, chewie with me in a stranglehold. Ther was a small 501st contigent on hand and alot of Jedi. Most small weddings held at the 30 minute intervals at the small chappels north of the strip are open so anyone can just show up if ther is room.

Holy ****. If I ever were to get married, that just might be my choice of ceremony. And I'll have an excuse not to need to wear one of those bloody white dresses. Go for black.
