I got my ticket too. Flying in Wed and leaving on Monday afternoon. Con tickets were purchased on the day they released them.

FYI - Jeff will be driving out with a trailer for totes for costumes or empty totes for your goodies you get at the con. 'Reasonable' sized totes will be $50 round trip, we are staying at the Hilton, I think :D

I'm all in. Got my room and tickets when they were released, flying on SW Wednesday to Sunday. I have another work con that I have to organize, so I can't stay any longer. It was almost a nail biter. The group I'm working with tried to book the same week. Thank goodness there was a larger con in SFO that week.

The app is pretty cool. I like the icon of the Jawas pushing a shopping cart for the "Celebration Store" section.

However, the content seems to be lagging behind the main site as the app doesn't list Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels or Kenny Baker as guests. I'm sure they'll catch up and be pushing out notifications like crazy the week of the con.

I still haven't decided when to fly out. Any of you guys planning group theme park outings? Also, is anyone interested in going to a TV show taping, like midnight, Tosh.0, or Conan?

Edit: lol, I accidentally tagged someone.

FanForced and I would like to go to a TV show taping Sunday, Monday or Tuesday before the con.
How would we go about trying to do that?

As I mentioned before, my friend and I will be doing the WB studio tour on Tuesday, and Disney on Wednesday. So on Tuesday we will already be in the Hollywood area, though probably not available until 4pm or so. Anyone is welcome to come with us on the WB studio tour, but it's a pricey thing - $250 I think.

I'd love to do midnight. Last time I was in Hollywood we stumbled into Jimmy Kimmel, which was pretty cool, though we missed Harrison Ford being on the show by 3 episodes.

Here's a link to the ticketing site that does @ midnight: http://on-camera-audiences.com/shows/Midnight
They don't have tickets available quite yet for the week of the con. They also do a bunch of other shows like Tosh.0, Key and Peele, and The Price Is Right (which is probably a nightmare to try to get into).

Conan tickets can be found here. Looks like they're already sold out for early in the week, but they do have tickets available for Wednesday the 15th.

I went ahead and signed up for 4 Conan tickets for Wednesday, April 15 at 3 PM. That was the maximum. I'll reserve them for FanForced, myself, Grimby and whoever calls it for the fourth ticket. I also tried to get 4 tickets for the 6 PM show, but was put on waitlist.

I'd be willing to try for Price is Right. Possible times we could make are Apr 13 at 8:30 or 12:00, Apr 14 at 12:00 and Apr 15 at 8:30 or 12:00 (which would conflict with Conan, so probably not). Thoughts?

Update: I went ahead and got four tickets for April 13 at noon, but I can always get a different date since they're free.

Awesome, thanks! Be careful about taking extra tickets you don't need though. They say it will hinder your chances of getting tickets in the future. :p

As for Price Is Right, I've heard the line can be similar to the George Lucas line a few years ago. (i.e. To ensure getting in, it might be necessary to get there at 4am or earlier.) Maybe that was just for Bob Barker though.

I'd be up for Coco on the 15th! Do you think 3pm is the rehearsal and 6 is the actual taping?

Here's a wrinkle/addition. Linda wants to see The Big Bang Theory, which has a taping on Tuesday, April 14...sometime that day. Tickets are free, but not available yet.

Also that day, the LA Dodgers are having a Star Wars night themed game. Game is 7:10 PM Tuesday night.
For $19 or $35 depending on the seats, you get:
"Join the Dodgers for Star Wars Night on Tuesday, April 14. Each ticket package includes a ticket in the All-You-Can-Eat Right Field Pavilion or Infield Reserve and a voucher redeemable for a Star Wars t-shirt"

    Anybody want to play ball?

Ooh, I'm way behind on BBT, but I'd love to see a sitcom taping. Dodgers Star Wars night might be fun. Too bad they're playing the Mariners and not the Rockies though (which they are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

I'd be up for a game. As I said we'd already be near downtown/hollywood after our studio tour on Tuesday.

I finally got all my shtuff booked. Flying into SNA Saturday morning and flying out of SNA on Monday at 12:20. Now, to figure out what to do until Thursday...

By the way, if anyone's looking for roommates, I'm still looking for two more people for a quad room at the Marriott.

Just be aware that most show tapings are all day for audience members. I know for Price is Right we had to be there 6:00am and were not allowed to leave until after 5:00pm. Same with a couple other game/talk shows. I don't know about late night TV (I don't watch those shows anyway). Another thing to consider, none of these shows will feed you or let you bring in food or drinks. For PiR we had a one hour lunch break with a five block walk (run, in the rain) to the nearest burrito stand. I had one burrito and one coke the whole day (no breakfast and no mid-afternoon snacks) until we got back to the hotel very late (like after 7:00pm). One person in our group had very low blood sugar by the time we got back due to no food all day.

Please use your tickets and experience what the audience goes through. And yes, they have "applause" signs even though there might not be anything to applause. You are there as an extra to fill seats and that's about it. No pay, no food, just the privilege to see a star for free. And absolutely no autographs or after-the-show hanging around. The audience is escorted pretty quickly out of the building. Also, don't bring any large handbags or extra stuff. Just a small wallet with ID will be all that's allowed. Security is super tight at these tapings.
