    Hey Gang,
I know it's short notice, but we're having a little charity event here in Columbia the weekend after next. Its been posted over on the 501st/70th boards, but Fan Force is invited as well. It is the Great Strides Charity Walk for Cystic Fibrosis on April 28th at Stephens Park (Columbia, MO).

We need to be there between 8:00 - 8:30am. Check in for the walkers starts at 9:00am. The walk starts at 10:00am. Water and *lunch* will be provided to us. (yea!) This will be our first 501st/FF event in Central MO, so we're really hoping for a good turnout!

To quote Chris Adams' post over on the 70th boards:

    >>Depending on how many people are attending will determine our plan for the day. I would like us there to meet and greet everyone as they check-in at 9am and then be around the area when the walk starts. If people are willing, I think we should actually participate in the "walk" with the kids.

I will have a map and directions available as soon as possible.

Susan, you can put me down. I still need to work out a few things, but I don't see why I can't come over.

Anyone else want to go and carpool? I know the area well, and won't get anyone lost... :p

Hey all! I talked to Susan and while they would like some more Jedi showing up, costumes are not required. It would be great if we could get a few people there this Saturday!!!

Brandon and Susan it was so nice to see you two again and to meet that beautiful daughter of yours. It was nice to get out and do even the smallest thing for a charity. I have to get working on my costume though.
You all missed a beautiful day, in a beautiful park, by a beautiful lake, for a wonderful cause. The 501st are such a great bunch of people too they are all so nice and welcoming. Had a great time all around other than the sunburn I now have. LOL!
