AA- I hope I understood you correctly, but you have V-Sync turned off, right? It kills performance.

I have my doubts that you're getting that hi of FPS. No benchmark can back your claims.

Anything over 82 FPS is too much for your eye to aknowledge anyways. Scientists proved it.

Don't movies only run at 24 fps? But we don't notice because it doesn't change at all... or something.

Anyway, I was running UT today at 1280*1024 with maximun details at 70 fps. Is that good, or is there something wrong?

I have the VisionTek GeForce2 GTS, and yes they make really good cards.

But, when I build my system, I will go with has the most features. Right now, the ASUS 8200 Deluxe has that. We'll see what comes out when the new version of the GeForce3 is released.

What do you need for TV-out? My card supports it, but it didn't come with a cable or anything.

Yeah, ASUS made a huge mistake doing that, but where else can I find a card with all those features?

To tell you the truth, I'm thinking about just having two graphics cards in my GOD BOX system. Dunno how it will work out with the OS, but it would be very handy to have another screen for tools, message clients, and a ton of other things.

It would be the greatest if I could have it run a desktop while my main card is in game mode. That way, I could message/e-mail while in my game, without having to deal with quitting out.

Then again, my laptop is going to be my communications machine for some time... so I really don't need that 2nd screen, unless I want it dedicated for TV :)

yep, that sounds like a great box man!

I built mine around the same time, but I didnt get the 19", I'm still on 15 :(

    But I have 1gig AMD
    512 SD-ram
    ATI 64DDR vid
    40gig HD 7200rpms
and my weak link SB16, looking to up to the new SB that just came out but I need over $200 to get it.

Also if you havent already, get an optical mouse! I love it and I havent had to clean the smutz out of it once :D

I also have to share some of this power with Adobe Premier so not all of the 40 gig is for games.

It all cost me a total of $42 ;) (in memoriam of a cool frood who knew where his towel was)

    Sweet.

And JK does not suck. Just really really boring. It was awesome for its time, but there are so many better games out there.

    Thanks!!

Okay, my parents are on a 1500 dollar budget and they wont buy anything unless its at a store and unless its made by a major manufacturur(IBM, Compaq, Dell) I wanted to build but I can't order stuf on the net and they don't want a "Cheap clone" they need a compaq/dell/ibm. Arg.
So anyways what kind of stats should I try to get from one of these comps?
