It's a savannah planet, which means lots of grassy plains. Our fanfilm is set on Dantooine.

Take a look at the Star Wars Guide to Planets. It's listed in there with a few pictures.
It's basically savanah. There are mountain outcroppings, rivers and large bodies of water I believe.
    Check it out!

Dantooine, similar to Tatooine in spelling, can you see the difference, the "T" is subtracted and a "D" and "N" is added. Does that help you to see it? ;)

A savanah? How did the rebels plan to hide there? Were they going to wear patches of grass and lie down whenever they heard a ship flying overhead?

Well, with millions of planets and moons to choose from, they were probably protected by the fact that the Empire couldn't check EVERY one. If the Empire ever found a base on Dantooine, hiding wouldn't really matter anymore.

The rebels did have a base on Dantooine once. But, by the time that Liea pointed them there, it was long since deserted.

Imp officer in ANH: "We checked Dantooine and found the remains of a rebel base, but it appears to have been abandoned for some time."
