Part One: Noir

"M'excuse, le maître?" a young child interrupts the instructor.

It is approximately twenty-five thousand years before the Rebel Alliance will destroy the Death Star over the planet Yavin. The Force is a new finding on the part of the Warlocks. One such Warlock, Semga Altenir, a brawny human, has developed a language for the Warlocks, and a new name: Jedi. His belief is that the Jedi are superior life forms. His former student, Birona Skywalker, believes instead that the Jedi must protect other life, and embrace the Force, not use it.

This night, they duel.

In a perfect world, Skywalker would win, and in the present time, that is how the duel turned out. But something goes wrong. In one time flow, Skywalker loses the duel. By rights, events should not have unfolded this way. But the battle at Ebaq Nine with Shira Brie and Mitthraw Nuruodo* has caused what will henceforth be known as a timeslip. By saving the galaxy, Luke Skywalker has doomed it.

Part Two: La Face de Mal

Year 25169 (Real Time: the Battle of Yavin)

Dantooine. A planet covered in city blocks and transparisteel. Nothing organic, it is believed, is left.

The Jedi, in total command of the Force, have conquered the galaxy. Now, major players in the "real universe" have had their roles completely reversed.

Ian Palpatine is the leader of an underground resistance against the Sacred Order of the Dai Noga, the elite Jedi. Han and Thrackan Solo are generals in the resistance movement, called the New Order of the Galaxy, NOG for short. Wedge Antilles is a mercenary for hire, currently in the employ of Boba Fett, Commander in Chief of the Army of the Jedi of Mandalore. A Mon Cal named Ackbar is slave to Altenir, Master Jedi. Shira Brie and Mara Jade are hitwomen. Lando Calrissian is a rich entrepreneur and public supporter of the Dai Noga. Chewbacca is leader of the Wookie Army of Kashyyyk, currently under orders from Fett. JoAnne Daala and Wilhuff Tarkin are married governors of the District of Eriadu. The Council of Hutts is the legal bank of the galaxy, and runs a secret smuggling organization. Baron Soontir Fel is the adjutant to Altenir. Corran Horn is vice president of the Bothan Spynet, developers of the Holonet. IG-88 is the commander of the IG forces of Altenir. Ysanne Isard is a single mother drawn into the rebellion. The Sith Council is made of a band of Jedi dedicated to becoming one with the Unifying Force. Owen and Beru Lars offer their home as HQ for the Sith Council. Mitthraw Nuruodo and Lankr Nuruodo are the leaders of the Chiss Resistance, defending the Unknown Regions from Altenir. Vergere is the Prophet of the Hopeless in the Underground of Dantooine.

The galaxy is in shambles, and noone knows the way it should be. Save two.
