Well one thing's for certain. DE's art style is very unique for comics (at least the comics I've been exposed to). Good or bad, it is a big impact on the mood of DE, and I for one like the feeling I get from seeing the characters and settings drawn as they are in this way. Right now I'm going through Empire, so I've read the one issue Cam Kennedy drew. It's definitely reminiscent of his earlier work in DE, but it's a lot more photo-realistic with the colors (which might owe to the fact that it was a different colorist). But this issue shows that Kennedy's drawing style can work in a variety of tones and colors.
