Alright, do not post spoilers in this thread. Please. My question is, will Dark Journey be written from the 1st-person POV?

I'm pretty sure its' 3rd person. "I, Jedi" was the only one ever to be written in 1st.

Just a little brain spasm we had, eh, Fluke?

That's good news. I, Jedi was interesting, but I couldn't bear it if Jaina had to do that...

    Who's Olié?
BTW, I wouldn't want the book to be in the first person.

    Ric Olié

"There it is, Tatooine" as a giant planet nears

"Fighters, straght ahead" As hundreds of ships pour out to them"

"Shields are gone" as a big picture of a ship that everyone is looking at loses the obviously shield part

"Coruscant, the entire planet is one big city" As we see endless city

"Theres Senator Palpatine" As the camera pans to him

He's the GFFA tour guide. All the questions wed be asking after TPM had he not been there :)

Ric Olié, king of the obvious, I salute you

    *salutes*

None of NJO up to this point has been in first person. While it can be an interesting perspective, at this point it would just disrupt the flow of the series.

I disagree, mainly because all the authors so far have such different styles anyway. And how different would Conquest really have been if it had been 1st person Anakin, or HT if it had been 1st person Han?

Mastadge brings up a good point. Those books were focused mainly on one character. It wouldn't have changed much if written from the 1st person POV.

Actually there was the star wars journal kids books which are in first person.

Then there was the stuff in the x-wing strat guide novelized parts, as well as the x-wing alliance strat guide novelized parts were done in first person.

I don't know about the tiefighter strat guide because I haven't read it yet.

No, it's not. See the Audiobook excerpt if you want proof. And it doesn't spoil anything at all, so you can listen to it if you want. Probably first page or 2 of the book. Definitely whets your appetite though.

Here's a thought. How would Ooryl in first person work? :)
