SWRPF Archive Darkside Uprising II: Imperial Dreams

Story-

Set 30 years post ANH (Nope no ?Vong War, sorry), 15 years past Darkside Uprising I: Return
of the Ancient One. Fifteen years ago the Dark Lord Sadow awoke for hibernation to come back and rebuild the Sith Order. He managed to plant seeds for a New Sith Order, until he met his death at the hands of
Luke Skywalker. The last thing he did however was destroy Skywalker and topple his Jedi order. Broken apart the Jedi order desperately tried to rebuild to the Darkside. As the Jedi order tried to rebuild, Admiral Daala teamed up with a secretive alien race, who was connected to the new Dark Lord swepted in and destroyed the New Republic, assassinating it?s leaders, and destroying it?s naval forces. Even the Grand Hapen cluster did not survive the invasion. The New Sith Order, although small moved behind the scenes to secure the Galaxy is theirs. Although the new Dark
Lord of the Sith, a General Oochy, and the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy, Daala were killed, two of his followers stepped up and took control of the New Empire as the Emperor and Empress, along with Pellaeon as the new Imperial Naval commander. The remains of Luke?s Jedi Order are few and hunted down anywhere they go...

Rules and Notes:

1) Only OCs can be played by players, I play all canon characters (unless otherwise stated)

2) This is a Jedi vs. Sith RPG, not a fleet RPG. Only two ships per person. One for you NPC and one for yourself. No squadrons or fleets, and ships can be no bigger than a crew of 30.(No fully automated ISDs either.)

3) I am a big one for realism. That means you don?t know everything or can feel everything. The RPG does have a unofficial time passage thing, so you can?t take off from across the galaxy, jump into a system and attack to people dueling on the ground, okay? Thanks.

Elemental Control:-(B) Allows the weilder to control 1 specific aspect of nature, to the exclusion of all others (air, earth, fire, water), and manipulate it to their own gain. It can be used in various ways and the higher the level of the user the more adept s/he is at controling the power.

Absorb/Dissipate Energy-(B) Allows the apprentice to absorb and neutralize energy attacks from blasters, the force, etc. The higher the level the more powerful the attack can be. When trying to deflect an attack from a player character, your Absorb/Dissipate skill level should be checked against the attackers level in the skill s/he is using.

Accelerate Healing-(J) Allows the user to greatly accelerate the healing process. L1 can heal small cuts and sprains, L2 can heal broken bones, L3 can heal large cuts, L4 can heal severe wounds, L5 can heal life threatening wounds and injuries.

Darth Vassago, as the Emperor, has chosen a more elegant choice of apperal, something that shows his status upon entering a room.. He sports a long, black tunic, that hangs just above his knees, and is held to his body by a dark leather belt. The belt sports a few small compartments, and a large silver buckle. The tunic is layerd, and is held closed by a fastener located on the far left at the top of the tunic. The tunic matches the deep black color of the long pants he wears. The pants stop at about his shin, due to the tall, elegant dress boots he wears. The boots are made of a glossy black leather, and have buckles up the sides, and are very expensive, as is his entire ensamble. All that the Emperor wears is made of extremely costly materials, and most of is has a armorweave to help protect against blaster bolts, and even lightsaber blades. Over his shoulders Darth Vassago wears a long, flowing cape that comes to a stop just below the height of his boots. The cape is fastend together with about eight platinum links that go across his upper chest, the emblem of his new Empire on the connecting links. The cape serves not only to increase the size of his sillhouette, further intimidating his opposition, but also as a sign of his status of Emperor. The cape has an underlayer made of fine-grade, costly armorweave fabric, that drapes like silk down over him and, as mentioned before, helps dissipate blaster bolts and lightsaber blades. EmperorVassago, at times, also wears a large, black, baggy hooded robe over his entire outfit. The hood to this robe is put up at times, shrouding Vassago?s face in darkness.

Weapon(s): One custom made, single bladed lightsaber. (Darth Vassago is trained to use two lightsabers, but carries one), The Force.


Lightsaber Description:
Hilt- The Emperor Vassago carries a lightsaber with a curved hilt, which is rather uncommon. The hilt is not shiny or glossy at all, but has a dull black finish, and is laced with subtle, yet intricate gold designs. The curved hilt allows for superior finesse and precise blade control. Being custom made by the hands of the ruling Emperor himself, it was built for power, and speed.
Color- The crystals within the lightsaber of Darth Vassago are rare synthetic Sith crystals, which generate greater power than a normal, Jedi crystal. The crystal that provides the color glows with a deep, almost hypnotic Purple tint.

Nova Runner -> An old Corellian freighter served as the base frame for a clone of the legendary Ebon Hawk (destroyed sometime during the Jedi Civil War of millenia past). Syrrin spent years modifying this freighter to match and, in some cases, exceed the specs of the ship on which it was based. It's sublight and hyperdrive performance rival that of the original, matching that of the Millenium Falcon (but without any of the dodgy problems encountered by that vessel). The dorsal turbolaser turret is of recent manufacture and is much more efficient, with a smaller recharge time and improved targeting computers. Other weapons include a fixed pair of concussion missile launchers on the ventral turret (with a magazine of 6 missiles per launcher), and a medium-power laser cannon on each side of the cockpit. The shield systems have also been improved. The armour, however, is more or less the same as the Ebon Hawk (not that this is a bad thing)

Ssissithea, now on her deathbed, pleaded with the remaining Jedi to take her son, for she knew of his powers with the Force. When Elian was lifted from his mother?s grasps by the Jedi, she died. Okay, I think it's about time we get this started. I know this is lengthy, but the first post should be, or so I believe. I'm not sure where everyone is, but this should set up for myself and Angel, and most Sith should be on Coruscant as well, unless they've had plans of their own. Jedi, I'm sorry but I'm not sure where you're supposed to be. Perhaps Oochy, Robal, or Angel can help you out there. Perhaps you can join me on Coruscant. But, here's the first post. Sorry for any grammar errors, I was kind of rushed to get this up. Enjoy, and lets get this moving, huh?

IC: Emperor Vassago---Coruscant

~It is a new day on the Capital planet of Coruscant. The sun is just peeking over the towering buildings that rip through the skyline, and cover the planet's entire surface. The city that never stops...seeminly always bustling. At any given moment, on any given day, the city is alive and moving at a break neck pace...except for today. No, today things are a bit different, for today the reigning Emperor of the Galaxy is to make an address to his loyal followers. The citizens of Coruscant, as well as the surrounding sytems, have been waiting in anticipation for the Emperor's address...and today they shall have it.

The streets of the Capital planet are flooded, not with traffic but with citizens anxious to hear what their Emperor has to say. Large banners hang from every structure in sight, proudly displaying the Emperor's New Sith Empire's emblem. Other banners with the Emperor and Empress' likenesses are also proudly displayed through out the Capital planet. Hundreds upon hundreds of troops and gaurds from the Emperor's armies are stationed along the streets with the citizens, there to make sure that nothing gets out of hand. Endless chattering fills the air in a sea of thousands of voices, as well as the sounds of air speeders, and ships flying abour the skyline of the planet. But soon, that sound is overtaken as the roayl symphony begins to lead into an all too familiar musical arrangment. Shortly thereafter, the sea of voices is quieted and all that can be heard is the nearly classic Imperial March, used by the reigning Emperor's blood relative, and one time Emperor of the Galaxy, the great Palpatine. The symphony plays the song to perfection, and only mere seconds into the climax of it, upon one of the highest balcony where a grand podium is set up, two imposing crimson figures emerge, followed closely by the reigning Emperor and his wife, the Empress. The crowd literally gasps as they see their rulers, and of course their protection, as not a second later two more crimson gaurds emerege from the darkness of the royal palace on Coruscant. The Emperor and his Empress are clad in only the finest, and most elegant threadings, as the rulers of the Sith, and the Galaxy should be.

The crowd roars loudly as the Emperor and Empress appear, and it continues even as the symphony concludes the Imperial March. The cheering goes on for upwards of a three standard minutes, and only ceases once Emperor Vassago raises his arm, slightly bending it at the elbow. Once he has done this, the crowd falls silent. The Emperor looks out around the sea of humanity and steps a bit closer to the podium, his wife behind him by only a few paces. He clears his throat before beggining~

"People of Coruscant, and around the Galaxy. I have demanded your attention here today to inform you all of the events that will be taking place across the Galaxy in the very near future. As you know, since my rule as Emperor as begun, things in the across the Galaxy have only but improved. And I assure you, things will only continue to improve as my vision for perfection is set into motion."

~The Emperor states in a calm, stern tone. The crowd cheers, acknowledging what he has stated. He then raises his arm once again, quieting the crowd before he continues~

"This moment marks a new beggining for the Galaxy, but this moment also marks the beggining of the end for many across the Galaxy!
