ST Darth maul in the Sequel Trilogy?

No, Maul needs to die by Obi-Wan's hand. I'm not big on revenge and it's not the Jedi way but he needs to pay for killing Satine.

Maul is a popular and iconic character and an important one in Star Wars, especially as he acts a proto-Vader, his survival inspires Sidious to salvage Vader on Mustafar . Maul is an extremely powerful Force user and one of the greatest Sith Lords to have ever lived, thats a fact within the SW fiction. Being thats he's broken from Sidious completely following Lawless and the events of SOD, his motivations are entirely his own. Has his own destiny to fulfill as prophesied by Mother Talzin.

He's already made two appearances in Marvel now. Leia senses Darth Maul on Naboo in "Shattered Empire" which is post ROTJ and in Obi-Wan and Anakin comic which is is pre-AOTC, where Maul appears as a hologram created by Anakin. Maul is patient and always growing in power. He's likely watching events and will reveal himself and carry out the revenge of the Sith when the time is right. as its likely he'd view other Dark Siders and Sith pretenders with disdain and scorn and something to eradicate(which was one of the concepts for the video game "Darth Maul: Battle of the Sith Lords in which he brings down Darth Krayt and his Empire).

 

If they do end up making a solo Obi-wan Kenobi movie, maybe it will be about Maul hunting him down on between RotS and ANH, and we'll see Obi-wan kill him once and forall.

 

He's younger than Plagueis, who is dead.
