PT Darth Maul or Count Dooku?

In some ways I think Maul should have stayed as the Sith Apprentice and Dooku as the Grey Jedi. Still character wise Dooku is by far more interesting.

Maul suffers the Boba Fett Syndrome, awesome character design. A few lines which emphasize the silent warrior aspect and not much else. I mean yes his duel is awesome but he is just a physical menace.


Dooku is a menace physically as he is a duelist on par with Yoda, intellectually as he is also the idealist leader of the CIS and he is morally menacing because he is right in his cause.

 

Dooku is the better villain, in my opinion.

He is more powerful in terms of strength, being able to duel with the best Jedi on the council.
He is more powerful in terms of intelligence, being able to use his brain more than his brawn.
He is a more developed character.
He is played by Christopher Lee.

 

I don't understand why everyone likes Christopher Lee so much. What's so special about him?

 

Look him up on Wikipedia or something. He's a movie legend, a cult film megastar.

He is the only man to be a Bond, SW and LOTR villain.

Indeed. He's also a very interesting speaker and writer.

 

The last I heard, whatever he did in WW2 as an operative was still classified. Not talking movies now, he was the real deal.

Theres a reason he's called: Sir Christopher Lee.

 

Side note: The Academy should give hin a lifetime achievement award.

Lee is also Sherlock, Watson and if Im not mistaken he is also a Sherlock villain.
He is a Hammer Horror Legend, why is he Count Dooku? He was the best Count Dracula ever, his film the Satanic Rites of Dracula is obe of my favs. He is also the Mummy, and I think Frankenstein's monster as well.

He is the definition of Screen Villain as Abraham Lincoln is the definition of president or Jordan is of a basketball player.

Interesting post Watcher. I agree with you once again in large part but I really don't like either Peter or Chris in SR. Peter's too reactive and Chris hardly does a thing and both are clearly weary of the nonsense. I do think Sir Christopher can do a masterful villain but wouldn't define him as definitive or solely as a villainous type.

 

Oh definetely. He is also the ideal authorative figure. The king of the deep cool voice...

Irrelevant. The fact that most posts are now emphasising a liking for Christopher Lee (who is a justly admirable person) is what I based my previous statement on. This is also evidenced by the fact that everyone who has written something on this page (you being the exception) has praised Christopher Lee.

 

Irrelevant? How is it irrelevant? The idea of the vote is to show who's better so clearly, who ever has the most votes is better

He clearly isn't. If he was, he'd have more votes

 

Dooku is a more interesting character and had more connection with others, however I don't think the movie spent enough time to show his character well, Maul suffered the same problem.
