Full Series Darth Maul's Fate

Maybe they're saving him for that two hour movie finale, that will close out the Clone Wars series, and that's where he'll meet his fate.

 

Unfortunately, that's a pipe dream at this point.

 

I'd like to see what Lucas planned for Maul, not someone else.

 

Maybe Vader kills him.

 

There are only three people I see killing Maul at this point:

Obi-Wan: It would make sense to have him finish what he started all those years on Naboo.

Dooku: Originally, I pictured Sidious in "Son of Dathomir" pitting Maul and Dooku against each other, with the winner claiming the spot of his apprentice. It would also show Dooku struggling to prove his worth to his master.

Sidious: Maul has become a thorn in his side for too long and would end up killing him the next time these two met face to face.

Having anyone else kill Maul would make no sense to me except those three

I could see Bo-Katan killing Maul to avenge her sister, Satine and Pre Vizsla. That way she could get the darksaber back and reclaim some honor for both herself and Mandalore.

 

Dooku did face Maul in SoD - and lost. He was also easily controlled by Talzin. I think SoD helped show why Sidious wanted to replace him in ROTS.

At this point, I think a final duel with Kenobi is most likely with the rumors of stand-alone movies. I would prefer to see him up against Sidious myself - perhaps even beating him, with Vader having to help him.

 

When is the supposed Obi one movie supposed to take place.

 

Maul's got a bone to pick with Sidious and he has (had) kind of an army. And he's out there. Could be used in various ways and hopefully on Rebels. Maybe he joins up to fight the Empire out of spite but he's too damned coldblooded to be used with the Rebels. I like the idea of him being a disconnected Rebel cell leader and Our Heroes are like "Boy howdy! Someone to help us with our struggle against the Empire!" and then they see what Maul is doing and is capable of and he becomes a wild card / antagonist.

 

I think his fate will come in Lords of the Sith book.

 

Nah, Maul is too $$$ to be killed off in some book.

 

Obi-Wan film.

Though I'd personally be glad for it, this is not to say it has to be Kenobi, himself, who does the deed.

It could be Vader, Fett... heck, maybe even a loose adaptation of Old Wounds finds Owen Lars scattering Maul's grey matter all over the sands of Tatooine?

 

Derrown and Embo are hired to capture him dead or alive.after a long hard fight derrown strangles maul with his tentacles while Embo bludgeons him to death with his hat

 

Vader will kill him in a comic.

 

I could see that happening actually.

But wouldn't Sideous prefer to take care of Maul himself once and for all though?

Not that I'm discrediting the Vader thing or anything. I'm just curious.

I am not sure how Vader can beat Maul, especially after Maul become more powerful in TCW.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sidious bring plenty of backup when taking down Maul - the SoD comics made him a bit of a coward. He brought a CIS army to Dathomir and had Dooku and Grievous at his side to stop Talzin, so something similar might happen with Maul. A 1v1 duel between Sidious and Maul would be fantastic though...

 

Palpatine knows no honor.

 

A Vader v Maul duel, if it happens, will be in Rebels.

 

Either that or silver screen.

 

Or we never see it.

 

Doubt it. Even when Maul was dead, they managed to write a story about a duel with Vader. Now he's alive and kicking in the OT.
