    I sometimes think that if Obi-Wan had finished the deed and killed Anakin on Mustafar he may have fallen to the dark side. That's my head canon for why he left him, anyways. Confronted with that much hate and betrayal from someone you love would push anyone to the brink. I often feel like people forget how much Obi-Wan went through, as a character.

    I actually really like this thought. I hadn't seen it before but...now that you've pointed it out....Dooku is like a twisted version of the OT Obi-Wan. Intelligent, cunning, a certain air of dignity but...where Obi-Wan is in rags and all about passing on what he knows....and sacrificing himself - Dooku is prideful, self-centred, immaculately presented.
