I made a thread to underline the fact that Darth Sidious is not actually a real Sith Lord.
He is only a butcher who is not even concerned with the survival of the Sith Order.
This is what Darth Plaguies surnamed "the wise" is telling Darth Sidious:
""You have the Force, apprentice, and the talent to lead. More, you have the bloodlust of a serial killer, though we need to hold that in reserve unless violence serves some extraordinary purpose. We are not butchers, Sidious, like some past Sith Lords. We are architects of the future."
    "How long?"
"Not a standard day sooner than a decade.""

    However,Darth Sidious is not listening.
Look how Darth Vader is taught by Darth Sidious to act,to force choke those who are failing.
Also,Darth Sidious is very egotist and he makes in such a way that Anakin gets crippled.
So,Darth Sidious is ruining the future of the Sith Order, with crippling the Chosen one.
If he would have taught Anakin how to use the Dark Side,in a more Sith-Lord ways,
Anakin would have not killed Padme.
Sure,Anakin would have killed Darth Sidious, but he would not have turn to the light side,
because he will attain the power of manipulating midichlorians to keep Padme young forever.
So,Sidious has his mind darkened by egotism and he causes the doom of the Sith Order.
    EDIT:
Another thing,Sidious is so idiot that he kills Darth Plagueis before learning how to manipulate midichlorians to stay alive forever.
Sidious idiocy comes from his very big lust for power.
Darth Sidious is so much lusting for power and so arrogant that he looses himself,
    when using the dark side.
No other Sith Lord is so bad as Darth Sidious, look at Dooku or Darth Vader or Darth Maul,
they are still rational, while using the Dark Side.

We don't know if Plagueis' power truly existed, and if it did, we don't know if Palpatine did or did not know it.

In canon, Darth Maul now survives being cut in half. The argument behind how he survived is that he used his Master's training. I.E. the Dark Side helped him survive his injuries. Which implies Palpatine does know how to use the Force to sustain life, but perhaps not create life like Plagueis allegedly could.

In ROTS, Palpatine says only Plagueis could cheat death. But Maul ended doing it too based on Sidious' training. Thus it's possible that Palpatine knew how to cheat death and was lying to Anakin about needing to work together to discover the secret.

Now obviously Palpatine had not suffered any severe injury on the scope of Maul or Anakin. Except for his scarring.

The old continuity seemed to never give a clear answer to whether or not the deformed face was his real face that he kept hidden through alchemy, or whether it was an injury. But now that continuity is out the window and to my knowledge that issue has not been addressed in the new canon. But it can safely be said that Dooku, Anakin, and Maul DO NOT any kind of physical Dark Side corruption. So it's possible that Palpatine is unnaturally old and disguised himself, or he really did melt/scar his own face. Because with all Sith Lords like Malgus becoming non canon, and no canon Sith Lord being shown to degrade in appearance as a result of Dark Side use. It seems to decanonize the idea of Dark Side use giving one a sickly appearance: Vader, Dooku, Maul, Assaj, 7th Sister, High Inquisitor, 5th Brother, etc. None are shown to become sickly in appearance.

If Palpatine's appearance was the result of heavy injury, then perhaps he survived what would have been a fatal attack on someone else. Or maybe he was already in excess of 100 years old and had lived an unnaturally long time but disguised it.

My point is just there are a lot of unknowns. But if Maul cheated death based on his training that he received from Palpatine, which is canon (even if it's a retcon). Then the implication is that Palpatine really did know how to cheat death, and that he may have mislead Anakin into believing he didn't know how to because he had no intent on saving Padme. She was his enemy.

But what is a "real Sith" anyway? The only Sith we know of to any extent are Palpatine and those he has taught. And then we know that the ancient Sith were plagued by infighting. So they are pretty ruthless backstabbers. That's pretty much their whole philosophy. Kill each other for power. In TCW, an apparition of Darth Bane, who created the Rule of Two to limit infighting still tells Yoda that his apprentice must kill him to take his place. Dooku also tells Savage that a wise master doesn't give up all his secrets (lest he become expendable). Thus Palpatine, I'm sure, has no reason to teach Anakin everything. He needs leverage over Anakin.
