    A theory is circulating that Darth Sidious siphoned Padme's life energy in order to save Anakin from his burns on Mustafa in order to keep him alive. This is why he knew she was dead even though she was hidden millions of miles away. Also from movie if we look at the timing, the moment she dies is the moment that Darth Vader wakes up. Coincidence, or theoretical effect. Might not be.
