I wouldn't be surprised if that's an unused concept image from Dark Forces. :D

I have not read any of this series yet.

But dang, that dude looks like Kyle Katarn. The beard, man, the beard.

Yippee! Separatist remnants! I can only hope this ties into the sorts of campaigns that were mentioned in the Essential Guide to Warfare.

Kyle is just a kid during the events in this series (I think).

Yeah, my first reaction was "Kyle pulling a Han in ESB", but neat cover still.

Tim's work has been a surprise hit for me, and I can't wait for the next issue. I hope he can write one more before the license tranfers over.

I am not sure why Vader bothered to block that. It would have missed him otherwise.

Unless they surprise me, this is probably going to be the final Vader "and" issue under DH. Sure, they got a bit repetitive, but I will miss them all the same. They fufilled that "Vader and the Purge" desire that never quite went fufilled for me, and now we can at least 'finally' bring the year 19/18BBY to a definitive close as we await the beginning of Rebels.

Of course, I don't know what marvel has planned... but still.

I hope these books survive the oncoming canonpurge. I really do. DH had flaws, but their works made all the difference between me being a typical hater of the prequels and suddenly loving the prequel era.

I know Ninth Assassin disappointed a few here. I only this ends the Vader series and DHC run with a great note.

I only read issue 1 which had me intrigued.

As if such mundane concerns like time or age could stand in Kyle's way if he wanted to defeat Vader.

That is why this could not be Kyle Katarn: had Vader faced Kyle here, there would not have been an OT.

In I, Jedi, Luke says of Vader "He even managed telekinetic tricks with the energy he pulled in" - the idea being that when Vader blocks and absorbs an energy bolt - that's a little bit of extra power that can be immediately used.

Looks like Hock might be ready to turn against Vader. In other words, looks like Hock won't be surviving the series.

I'm not so sure. He's narrating the events in the pastense, implying a lot of time has passed since the battle.

Unless it immediately cuts to the present where he's suddenly turning on Vader, I suspect this is just the POV of a lone Stormtrooper witnessing Vader's might.

Man, these Vader minis just seem to be dipping in quality. Not that this was that bad, but it was by no means great. I did like a lot of the themes, especially the stuff regarding Kaddak, but the plot was just so thin that I couldn't ever get really interested.

Seriously, they need to stop mining Twitter for authors. It's just not a great indicator of talent. ;)

(Okay, so Ghost Prison was awesome, but...)

Of course, as for the reason why this is the last... :_|

Goodbye early Purge stories, despite some repetition, I shall miss thee. This one was okay in the end.

Somehow this turned out be the much better take on a „Insane Clone Troopers at work“ story then the Republic Commando novels.

Overall, this mini series had an enjoyable story with nice visuals. Nothing special imo, but not bad either.

If only they could have gotten blackman to do another one of these. From what I'm hearing though, this is enjoyable. I can take that.
