Darth Vader’s search for the culprits behind an assassination attempt on the Emperor leads to a shattered Star Destroyer floating lifeless above a mysterious moon. On the ground he finds no survivors—instead ancient ruins, and frightening inhabitants. All the while, a hunter follows, waiting for the moment to strike!

That Ithorian. Weird eyewear he has.

Edit before the diversity crowd comes with the pitchforks: ok, the Ithorian could technically be a she.

Greedo looks like he's about to shoot Vader in the back first.

    Greedo always shoots first!

Or wait...is it the other way around?

Starting barfights? Looks like he really did pick up some bad habits from Obi-Wan.

Part 3 of 5? Vader needs 5 issues to kill Assassin no. 9 ?

That's a good thing. Vader shines against challenging enemies. Him slaughtering pushovers is boring.

And then.... Darth Vader Versus The 10th Assassin!

Yeah, I'm being unfair but I can't help but take the mick out of this title!

The titles of Vaders series are always lame. It's tradition. :p

Yeah, and true, sometimes that propels them to excel, but how many Ghost Prisons can we really have?

I really liked Last Command as well because it delved into his psychology.

!? You're in the minority on that one! ;)

Quite seriously, if Lost Command was available in cheap paperback I might consider it but I want a surefire win on anything that's hardback only.

Hm, it got pretty good reviews on Amazon and at other places. Sure, it takes while to get into, but it's a really rewarding story.
It contains some dream sequences which are precious to me because it's the only Vader/Padmé stuff I like. He loves her, but his love is oh so twisted by his intense hunger for power.
It is also shown just how jaded he has become. Love for him is now but the universes greatest joke.
    Powerful stuff.

Um... Yeah... The Padme/Anakin "relationship"...Don't really want to revisit that personally.

Yeah, I'm not really happy about either - Ghost Prison I will reluctantly buy in hardback for £12.15 due to the quite stunning reviews its got here across the board, but anything else? No.

Clearly, the Ninth Assassin is a Sith Jawa.

I love the exasperation of the Royal Guardsmen here. Especially that pause where the entire ship pauses to consider how dumb it is to warn Vader of danger.

Also, I am happy to see those gunships from the Force Unleashed.

    Talkative bunch.

Although...its unclear in several panels who's speaking...maybe it's just the one guardsman who won't put a lid on it.
