Actually,we're not sending him out this week.As it stands right now I think he wont be shipped out til the end of Oct.We wanna give the other Chapters time to get in their address's.

Vader has left Boston.

The last I heard it was in Pennsylvania. So it only has to finish PA and Maryland before it comes here. We still need to figure out where to take the picture...

 

He should be leaving KOP either today or tomorrow,then he's off to Maryland.You guys will get him right after Maryland,so it should be within the next few weeks.

Idea from a newbie... If we have it, why not make the best of it. We don't just have to take one pic with it. We can take it to several places. There will be the one "official" photo on their camera, but we can take it to several monuments and take pics there. I know I'd like to get a pic of Vader standing next to that big statue of Einstein. Proportionately, it would be quite a statement!

I will be bringing my 3 GP digital camera and a digital video camera (anyone have a firewire?). How about some more ideas?

I think we decided to meet at 1 pm. And I plan to bring my own camera as well. It's old fashioned film technology, but it'll do.

And I hate to throw things into chaos, but does anyone have any ideas if it's, say, pouring rain or a blizzard or something? Maybe inside the Lincoln Memorial?

Sat, 1pm at the Washington Memorial, facing the Reflecting pool. Inclimate Weather plan is to meet at the Mall entrance to the Natural History Musuem. Costumes are incouraged. I will be in mine, unless it's raining.


Anyone that wants to bring a Camera is welcome too. Mutt will be takeing the photos for us.

TK has a digital camera that she will be bringing. We were going to take a picture of just Vader with the monument (or some other DC landmark, weather permitting, etc. etc.) and one of all of us with Vader. We will be uploading those as soon as we get home and sending them along to be posted on the Vader Around the World site. We also wanted to take Vader around to other places and get lots of pictures. A sort of "Vader Does DC" thing for the site, so great minds think alike!

 

One must, although I don't know how we'd do it, is the figure Vader with the gargoyle Vader at the National Cathedral

 

Since you are in the city, is anyone going to see Attack of the Clones Imax again after the pictures?
