Darth Vader came to me in the mail today...

About a month ago I recieved a Star Wars credit card in the mail, I had applied for it from an email I recieved, not actually thinking that I'd get it, but hey, it doesn't matter, it's got Darth Vader on it. So I've had the card for about a month, I think I've used it about twice, and today I come home from work to see a package from the credit card company on the table...and I'm naturally curious because I never get packages in the mail...there was a letter inside (typed) which read...:

Dear Customer:

Thank you for using your new MBNA credit card. Enclosed please find your gift designed especially for you...blah blah blah blah...

Thank you again for using your MBNA credit card!

Blah Blah

...and with this letter was a styrofoam box, ,which I rip apart, eager to see the goodness inside, fully expecting it to be some cheap gimmicky gift, but no, lo and behold, it is a Darth Vader bust, about 6 inches in hieght and made of thick plastic that looks like bronze. It is possibly one of the coolest things I've ever recieved in the mail, and it was FREE! So, if I had a digital camera, I'd take a picture to post with this message, but I don't, so I'll have to leave you all to imagine the bust yourselves.

So, I guess the moral of this little story is that if you have a Star Wars credit card, you never know when Darth Vader may come in the mail to you.

I'm insanely jealous! I too applied for the card, and they never had the courtesy to reply to me. Grr.

 

Is this it by chance? I was curious what it looked like so I did a search =P

woah, that is awesomely awesome! i briefly entertained the idea of applying for the vader credit card, but i try to not have credit cards as i do not trust myself with them. but that is really really cool that they sent you that!

Dex, I was just up there yesterday pondering over whether or not to apply and I noticed that after you make your 1st purchase they give you 3000 points free! If they won't give you the bust then maybe you can talk them into the 3000 points instead.

I called them and they say I'm not eligible for the free gift as they are using it to generate interest in the card.

A nice suprise. I do not have credit cards cause I am only in High School. But it must be nice to have the gift and the card.
