    nah, the V2 is 100 bucks less than the old V1. i now have both, and the V2 is a much nicer setup. smaller and will fit in a project box batts and all. and more adjustibilty than the V1. as far as getting one, best advise to you is email Jim directly and ask when some will be ready.

    I am looking to finally crash and purchase the "Supreme Edition Darth Vader Costume - Official Star Wars Costume" or the "Supreme Edition Stormtrooper Costume - Official Star Wars Costume". I'm a BIG Vader fan and just wanted some opinions if anyone has the Supreme Edition costume what are the ups/downs? Basically just wondering on it if the lenses need to be replaced and all that jazz just so I know to set aside extra cash. Thanks a lot guys!

    I read a lot of the first few pages in the post but wasn't quite sure seeing as how it's been a few years since those were posted. Also didn't know that these costumes were Rubies! I am very cautious about Rubies mainly because I think most of what they've made is...crap...Would love to have the time and custom make a uniform but then I DON'T have the time/patience. If I had the money to get the Don Post Scout helmet at the time I would've

    well the rubies is pretty much only good as a party costume. i know, i started with one, and now its completely swapped out, theres nothin rubies left. its all goin on a manny i will build later. best thing to do is: decide what vader you wanna do, get the lid first, then get the other parts to go with it. alot of the stuff can be got already done, so you wont have to mess much with anything.

    Thanks guys! After lots of reading and HOURS of thought I have actually decided to go with a Biker Scout for now. I found 2 places that have them in all ABS material and they also have it in Storm Commando too (very excited!). Vader will be a project I will carry on with me after I get into it a bit more and learn more on custom molding. But does anyone know where I can find the Vader shin guards I'm having a problem locating just that part of his uniform. Thanks again guys glad I finally joined the forum after all these years!

    That's a very nice DPCA. Well, when I joined the community about 2 years ago, I made some very bad investments. Two in particular were based on the Don Post Classic Action. But the horror... the horror... I'll never buy from them again, but such began my journey into learning how to sculpt and modify fiberglass props.

    I started off with the the dome of this:

    http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/csmaclaren/Armormask/DSC01131.jpg

    ... and the mask of this kit:

    http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/csmaclaren/Vader/Golden%20Armor/GoldenArmor_Before_4.jpg

    And basically remastered, resculpted, etc. so now it looks like this:

    [image=http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/csmaclaren/Vader/Golden%20Armor/somesandingagain_01.jpg]

    [image=http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/csmaclaren/Vader/Golden%20Armor/brow-enhance_01.jpg]

    [image=http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/csmaclaren/Vader/Golden%20Armor/brow-enhance_08.jpg]

    This is still a work in progress, but I'm almost done.
