Comics Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith #1-6: The Chosen One (6/6 Released)

Definitely an old X-Men cover, don't know which one though.

 

It's an homage to X-Men #145

 

I really hope my local comic shop will be getting that variant in. I want most of them, but I need that one on the end of the last page. So beautiful.

 

That I can agree with.

 

Before Vader builds his red blade, I wonder if we will see him temporarily using a dead jedi's blade.

He may be sent on his 1st mission in the suit against some form of resistance against the empire, before he has the chance to build his sith lightsaber. Palpatine by now must have access to vast amounts of jedi lightsabers, possibly he could give one to Vader.

 

It would be more fun to see Vader fight without a lightsaber imo.

 

Well he's definitely capable of that.





A lightsaber is Vader's preferred weapon, but it's definitely not the only one at his disposal. A Sith Lord is never unarmed.

 

We saw Vader wrecking shop with his lightsaber. Now I want to see Vader wreck shop with his bare hands and Force, no lightsaber.

 

I'll just leave this here. Yep, the female is a Jedi. And Vader killed her with his bare (robotic) hands. The first arc of this new series has the perfect opportunity to show us Vader killing Jedi in a similar fashion, lightsaber free.

Wow...that variant inspired by X-Men 145 is gorgeous. I guess it's time for me to stop saying "I don't buy variants, but I'm going to get this one..." It's starting to lose its ring of truth.

The Chris Samnee Screaming Citadel one-shot, the Ashley Witter Doctor Aphra #8 and this one are mine.

 

That whole comic was awesome. Vader took on eight Jedi and won.

 

An especially painful panel for anyone who played the Star Wars Roleplaying Game Beginner's Box circa 2000.

 

I put a lot of work into planning these variant covers, so this comment pleases me!

 

You deserve a lot of credit for these covers. Ashley Witter has become a fast favorite of mine with her work on Doctor Aphra #1 and #8. Hopefully, we'll see more from her on SW in the future. As a further homage to The Uncanny X-Men, I think Marvel should let the Doctor Aphra series run to at least 500 issues! Really enjoying that character.

Looking forward to the new Vader series in just a couple weeks!

Interesting cover.

 

I really like to see them exploring Vader's vulnerability as he was adjusting himself to his new life. Him lying on the ground, beaten and wounded makes him look like a normal human, something that we dont really see when he is in suit slaughtering red shirt's. Also, is that Crait? The white surface with red underneath looks like Crait.

 

I like that pose. I can totally picture Hayden Christensen's Anakin inside that suit.

Yet ANOTHER thing Yoda is wrong about.

 

No, he was right. The Dark Side of the Force is the pathway to quick and easy power. Look at how Savage Opress crushed his enemies with a week of training. Look at how Ezra tears his way through stormtroopers when using his anger to call on the Force. The Dark Side is powerful and quick to aid you in a fight. But it also clouds your mind and can drive you mad.
