Darth Vader looked different in every Star Wars film, but for ROTS the design was updated slightly. Here are a few comparisons of the Darth Vader helmet of ROTS (left) and ANH (right):
I've seen them before on this website http://www.starwarshelmets.com/RotS2ANHvader_comp.htm which goes into more detail. It's been linked to here in the past.
No beef here...two different actors with different head skull shapes. They tried to bulk Hayden up but David Prowse was a huge guy in the late 70s. Good job by both teams
It isn't just the shapes. Notice the "mouth", for lack of a better term, has some mesh or whatever going across in ANH while not there in ROTS. Also the brows in ANH angle up significantly more. The way the helmet spreads out as it goes down is consistent in ROTS while it goes out a little, almost levels, then spreads out more in ANH Wonder what this would look like if the TESB and ROTJ helmets were on there ....and TFA just for fun
Yes there were four different helmets, although the helmets for TESB and ROTJ were extremely similar. All OT helmets were asymmetrical though, while the helmet for ROTS was symmetrical.
Cool beans! And Iron_lord, I just noticed you have 28,828 posts! Look at that for a cool number. Don't make another move.
I prefer symmetrical numbers like 28882. Symmetrical repeating numbers like 28282 are even better. But best of all are repeats of the same number like 22222.
