    I am looking for some good clear pictures of the little laser cut design on the recangle box on darth vader rots lightsaber. I am making my own and can't find the design anywhere.

    THANKS!!!

    I too have looked for some pics of the ROTS Vader saber, as well, since I may do that version for my costume. I hope someone's got some pics of it![face_praying]

    You are not going to get pics from movies or anything because it was never in ROTS. Here's the MR pic of the the LE saber. It's a tie fighter solar panel pattern.

    Thanks! I have seen that picture before. What I'm hoping for is if someone owns a Rots darth vader lightsaber that they might be able to take a picture of just the rectangle box then I can take it into auto-cad and trace it and make the design on my dad's CNC at his shop.

    Well, if you've already have the dimensions of the plate just CAD out the design. It's just 2 1/2 hexagons at probably 1/32" width. Unless you need dimensions... which you won't get from a pic unless someone puts a ruler up to it.[face_laugh]

    CAD is a beautiful program BTW.

    Thanks! i will try that. my mom has a bunch of drafting stencils so it won't be hard to do the hexagons.

    ryan..if you get these cut on a cnc machine I would most defin be interested in one...i converted my MR force fx ESB to a rots and have filed off the bubbles and painted the plexi...a real metal lazer cut design would do wonders for my saber!

    [image=http://www.501neg.com/photos/albums/userpics/10199/sabermods4.JPG]

    you could make some extra cash if you made these along with the detail piece with the holes in it and the end cap piece...they would work great for finishing up mods on the force fx or if your making your own...also if you made your own where did you find an accurate hilt end(the black piece) that doesnt have the groove in it like the other vader sabers? I had to glue on another piece and paint it black to get the look

    my dad and I are hopefully going to make these during spring break (Next Week)I don't know what shipping would be. What would be your highest price for one? also I only like to do selling within the USA. I don't get what you mean about the hilt end, could you be a lttle more descriptive?

    RYAN J.

    p.s. the size I am making will be half an inch wide and 1.8 inches long. My lightsaber is a little bigger than most (12 inches long) since I used a swimming dock pole.

    in my picture...the black piece that is on the blade end...the rots saber looks like mine and the others have the cutout in them with the thumbscrew...ill have to check on the length for mine unless someone else wants to chime in here as im at work and dont have access to my saber right now...but its the standard force fx clamp/switch size?

    So I can see quite a bit of resemblence between ROTS and ESB. I really can't say which one I like better.

    Does anyone have any good idea on how to make the little piece behind the emitter tip?
    [image=http://masterreplicas.com/file_cache/tmp428b80b8d9ca4_LI3.gif]

    Right now the only thing I am using is cardboard.

    My post above was worded wrong.

    I am looking on how to make the black piece that loops that around the lightsaber tip, not the little siver square (if that's what you were thinking) It's square on the top and wraps around. If some one knows of a website with a tutorial that would work wonders!!!!

    THANKS!

    Ditto, that ROTJ shroud tutorial should help a lot. Do you plan on CNC'ing the silver part off? Now that's something I'd love to see.:D
