God, this wednesday will be filled with comics.

-Skywalker strikes #6 which ends that story arc
    -Princess Leia #4
    -Darth vader #6

    That's so much

It will be fun to see how this issue turns out & more of Sidious.

    Thoughts:
    • Tulon Voidgazer is an AMAZING name.
    • As much as I wanted Vader to wipe the floor with all of Cylo's cyborgs, especially those bratty twins, I'm okay with 4/5 of them living. There's potential for more stories there and I love that this series is giving us new characters and building the galaxy's cast of characters (unlike the new novels which giveth and then taketh away).
    • Aphra geared up to go help is my favorite. And Vader warns her not to bait him, knowing he's in a foul mood. I think this is a pretty clear indication that he does not want to kill her and is as fond of her as someone like Vader can be.
    • I am so on board with this characterization of Vader once he finds out about Luke. I love the blind rage and his final decision to overthrow the emperor. It's possessive and powerful and frightening, and though he remembers Padme, he's not angsty about it. He's PISSED. Vader with a vendetta.
    Thumbs up, Gillen.

The ending had me shaking in excitement. The concept that from this point on for Vader every action he takes is all in an effort to bring down Palpatine and rule the empire himself is something I'm looking forward to seeing in action.
Plus my all time favourite star wars villain General Grievous has been reincarnated...............as a Mon Calamari!:D

So this article and Star Wars #6 definitively answered the question about the timeline between the two series. Great read!

I've got to admit, my first thought when Vader said "I have a son" was this:

In the old EU whenever Vader learnt Luke's name throughout the several interpretations there were (from what I've seen) he was usually like "His name's skywalker....hmmmm"

This version he's "I have a son" and proceeds to smash the room with the force reminiscent of the way he reacted when Padme died which I thought is the perfect reaction.

Just read it. The whole idea with basically every single thing having an evil counterpart is brilliant. The adorable Mon Calamari turns out to be a Grievous taken up to 11...FREAKY.

One thing that scares me for some reason is all this ending up as, say, Vader's nightmare, a premonition dream or something. Do we have a proof that it's *real*?

    Loved that, too. BECAUSE APHRA.

Ha! He sounds like Arnold Schwartzeneger in MAD TV's "Clone Baby" thing from twelve years ago.

Hmm, sounds like this series is improving. I stopped reading after the first couple issues but I think I'll pick up the trade in the fall. Aphra and the other new characters sound neat.

I get the impression that from this point on in the series the emperor will be considered the main antagonist. Which only shows how evil the guy is

The few pages of Cylo describing the enhanced warriors, zzzzzzzz. The last 2 pages are the same last 2 from the new Star Wars that was just released. Why Is Palpatine explaining the ways of the Sith to Vader like he doesn't know them? especially the basic tenet that the strongest rule. I do like how they are setting up Vaders true Intentions of ruling the Galaxy without Sheev. It will be nice to see these 2 at odds.

I liked the issue a lot, except for the art. It seems to get worse and worse...good thing the story is really good. I hope they change the artist soon, some panels are just terrible to look at.

Unlikely. Larroca is one of the faster artists Marvel and is one of the few who was able to handle the workload of Marvel's double-shipping policy when that got applied to Invincible Iron Man.

Unfortunately, speed has its impact in other respects, so it raises the question of how important is having the same artist on a string of unbroken issues?

Another enjoyable read. Really enjoyed how the reaction to Vader finding out he had a son was handled.

Aphra getting ready to save her man.

Nice bit of trivia, we apparently got a new conflict in-between the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, the Separatist War. Given "for the past 18 years..." commander Karbin was on life-support and this being post-Yavin, the Separatist holdouts must have made quite a stir in the new canon as well.

Who do you think was supplying them?[face_devil]

I mean there would have been lots of shell companies and it's all very complicated, but rest assured the security of the Emperor is assured.

Desire to start reading the comics increases. You think it will be brought up more? Ie. A dark times novel? Or series?
    I'm interested in this now.
