Darth Vader

    It has been discused that "Vader" means father in some foreign languages. Does anyone know if "Darth" is a foreign word, or did GL just made it up.

    'Darth' is made up, 'Vadder' is dutch for 'father'. Although that could be a coincidence aswell since GL never planned Vader to be Luke's dad when he was writing ANH.

    Actually I already knew that...the stuff with Vader is all coincidencial

    Vader had originally intended the name Darth Vader to be used for a completely different character when writing early scripts, because he thought it was a cool name. It was unintentional and coincidental that it turned out the way it did. :)

    did you know tha Darth Vader's original backround was scrapped then used to create Boba Fett. I think that is cool.
