London, ON Darth Vader's World Tour!

The Boston FanForce chapter came up with this great idea to send a 12" Darth Vader to every Fanforce Chapter in the world, along with a couple of disposible cameras. In each city, the chapter would take a picture of themselves with Vader by a landmark of the city and then would send Vader through the post onto the next city.

This thread is just to make sure there is interest before I add us to the list.
So post away (also, any suggestions for landmarks?)

 

One London Place.....um...that church near it is old.....

 

No one seems to know "One London Place". Can you post a picture or an address?

University College is a pretty good symbol of London.

One London Place is different from the London Life building. One London Place is on the corner of Queens and Wellington. Has a fountain/poolish thing out front made of black stone. Tons o' pics

Anyway, other places we could photograph are in front of the Market, that's a nice building. Maybe the new Arena, or the forks of the Thames?

 

Those pics are cool! Maybe by the sign since no one outside of London would know the building. Anyway, we're added to the list

I think a photo should be taken at the star/end of Wellington Street. I think Robert and I could find it again.

Just so you all know, Darth left Boston for New York, NY on November 12, 2002. He's already been to eight cities so far! He is now in Knoxville, Tennessee and will soon be on his way to his next stop in Atlanta.

No word yet on when he's going to get to London, but since we're scheduled near the end of the North American portion of the tour I'm sure it will be quite a while!
We'll have the heads up though, because people are posting his arrival and departure dates in Communications (see second link).

 

I asked a few people here at work what would be a good landmark, and the suggestions I got were the London Life building, the tanks at Victoria Park, and Bantings house.

 

Is he still coming?

Just wanted to inform everyone that I heard from the Detroit CR, he has shipped him today.

Edit: Also, it might be neat to take a picture from the top of a very tall building to prove we are "The Forest City"...I hate not having a camera, as I could do that easily from campus.
