St. Lou, MO DarthShoey's Baby Pool

As most of you know, DarthShoey and his lovely wife, Kim are expecting their first baby in January. I thought it would be fun to run a pool to see who can come closest to guessing the date, time and weight of their new baby!! Right now the due date looks to be around the 1st and Tim and Kim know that it is a boy.

So date: January 1
Time: 2:16am
Weight: 7lbs, 9ozs.

I am still thinking of ideas for the prize winner, maybe a free dinner (I'll buy it!) at the next meeting after the baby is born...

Sorry - didn't get you an update in time Christina. The due date was bumped up to Jan 1st.

Kim wants to hold out as long as possible to get a birthday away from X-mas. I was thinking early would be nice. 2 reasons - I'm anxious and the tax deduction would be nice

 

But if you can bring in the new baby early on the First, you will get tons of gifts for having the first baby of the year!! I would hold out for that! Although, tax deductions are always good...

For those of you with kids, were you early or late when you had them?

 

I was a first kid and was almost a month late, my younger sister arrived on the exact date she was due.

 

I was late I think, I don't remember how late though.

 

My 3 brothers and I were all about 2 weeks early

OPPM MUST DIE A SLOW PAINFUL HORRIBLE DEATH!

 

Ranada was my first and she was a week late. But that is a long story... Erika was three weeks early, but that is related to the long story... I do believe in general first babies tend to be late...

Teaguen was 10 days late from their due date, and then it was determined that I was right about the due date, not the doctors (imagine that!) and he was really later then that!

 

Bree's due date was moved up, then she came almost two weeks late. Jules was only 5 days late. I've heard that the more kids you have, the closer to the due date you get.

Also, this may be gross for you guys, supposedly if your menstrual cycle (girls obviously) is 28 days (normal), you're more likely to give birth on your due date. If it is longer, such as 32 days, you'll go past your due date. And if shorter, then before. It seems to be true for a lot of people I know.

Hey all, Tim and Kim are the proud parents of a baby boy!! He is named Max and was born today at 11:01. He weighed in at 7.1 pounds!! Congratulations to the new parents!
