Mayor Nick Wasicsko took office in 1987 during Yonkers' worst crisis when federal courts ordered public housing built in the white, middle class side of town, dividing the city in a bitter battle fueled by fear, racism, murder and politics. Based on a non-fiction book, the six parter starts this Sunday with the first two episodes. As it stars Oscar Isaac, there is probably some interest on here. And it looks great.
Apart from Isaac, they have quite a few heavy hitters, not least of which is the superb Alfred Molina. He seems like a petty little annoyance in this, a role he was born to play.
