Timeframe: This is an alternate universe starting at the moment Anakin appears in ROTS in the Chancellors private office to confront Mace Windu and save Palpatine (Darth Sidious). Post episode 3

Genre: Alternate star wars universe/ science fiction

Summary: This is an alternate universe describing what might of happened if Anakin had not turned to the dark side and allowed Mace to destroy Palpatine. The story begins with the alternate ending to Episode 3 followed by Dawn of a New Age which tells how Anakin brings balance to the force had he remained a Jedi. Dawn of a New Age also resurrects Darth Sidious and Darth Maul through cloning and through his well placed allegiances in Tarkin and Yssane Isard plot against the New Republic. Dawn also describes how the Republic makes the transition of peace with the Separatists as Bail Organa is elected the new Chancellor while the Jedi try to make sense of horrible dreams fortelling their destruction.

The focus of the story is on Anakin whose relationship with Padme strenghtens with the birth of his children. Dawn of a New Age deals with the revelation of his darkest secrets and how he and the Jedi Order confronts them.

Star Wars Episode 3 Alternate Ending
Fall of Palpatine

Mace used saber block to send the emperor's lightning attack back to the emperor. Mace can feel Anakin's uncertainty but trusts him. He continues to cry out for Anakin not to listen to the lies and tricks Palpatine is trying to use to gain Anakin?s assistance. He remains focused and waits for Palpatine to lose his strength. Anakin stands back temporarily blinded by the lightning attack while feelings of uncertainty continue to plague him as he believes he needs the emperor to save his wife.

Palpatine then cries out repeatedly that he could not keep up his attack any longer as his bolts cease and he falls back against the balcony unable to protect himself. "Anakin help me!? Palpatine cries out in desperation as he is now completely helpless before Mace Windu as he has been overcome by his unique Vaapad fighting style. Underestimated Mace Windu he had and very shortly he would soon meet his end unless Anakin saved him.

"I am going to end this once and for all!!!" Mace yells out as he prepares himself to destroy Palpatine.

Anakin sees master Windu?s intent and pleads for Palpatine's life, "You can?t. He must stand trial."
Mace replies to Anakin's plea with his greater understanding and judgment, ?He has control of the Senate and the Courts. He is too dangerous to be left alive!!!!"

Anakin sighs as despair fills him as his wife?s fate is sealed. Despair and the fear of loss fill him but he will not allow those feelings to overwhelm him as he puts his trust in the greater wisdom of his master as he steps back. Mace prepares to unleash his killing strike upon Palpatine.

"No please don't!!!!" The emperor pleads hoping it will sway Anakin to save him as he does his best to appear to be weak and helpless.
Anakin looks away in shame as Mace swings his saber down and kills Palpatine. The dark side of the force explodes from the Emperor?s body as lightning bolts slam into Mace and Anakin throwing them back. Mace Windu was pushed over the windows edge but manages to catch on the window railing at the last moment and holds onto it for dear life while Anakin was pushed back toward the entry way with nearly sufficien
