What an odd one. She must be more insane than the leader.

Shadoloo stayed away from the woman, not wanting to get too close.

Brins projected back to Kaylen, "No, she's a Sith. Not a very stable one, but a Sith none-the-less." Brins then turned back and walked back to the man in the speeder. "I'll give you a deal. Kill the Ysalamiri, keep your life. Don't, and lose it." Brins then backed away, out of reach for any blade, and a good dodging distance from any blaster.

Shadoloo pushed a small button on the control board of his hovercraft. Several hatched on the sides and roof of the hovercraft opened up, and over a dozen laser batteries folded out. They all swiveled towards the Sith who had just confronted him, and followed his every move.

"If I were to kill the ysalamiri, then I would be putting myself at your mercy, and I am not yet certain whether you even have a concept of mercy. Right now, I seem to be the one with the biggest gun, both literally and figuratively. And how, exactly, do you plan to kill me if I don't get rid of my leverage?"

OOC: Imps, If I don't get a reply in say...the next 36 hours, then I'll consider that a surrender at Yag'duhl and take the planet for myself.

As the newcomer began chattering, Kaylen quickly became annoyed. Mournfully, his illusory voice suggested to Brins, "I take that back; let's kill her first, then listen." Still, she was kind of cute, in a way...

He turned to his Master, noticing for the first time the laser cannons pointed at Brins. Using the Force to check, he was relieved that he was standing outside the Ysalimari influence, and thus in no real danger, here in a Force well. Well, no harm in being prepare and not taking chances. He activated his lightsaber and began to float it in the air. "Shadaloo, unless you cease your hostile action immediately, I will Force-hurl this at you. While the Force may not exist within your bubble, kinetic energy is still kinetic energy, eh? I don't think you can dodge, but you may have different ideas. Shall we put it to the test?" Kaylen eyes glinted slightly.

Kinda late, so I'll make this short.

Iridonia

Shadoloo breathed out a heavy sigh.

"I really didn't want any of this. I never intended any ill-will towards any of you. Perhaps I was fooling myself thinking I could work with Sith. Well, if you would like to try your lightsaber against me, then I am willing to play." He closed the back hatch of the hovercraft and drove it quickly towards Brins to put him under the ysalamiri sheild, even though he already doubted that one man could stop over a dozen bolts simultaneously. He then called for the ship to come to get him.

OOC: I'll reply to yag'duhl tomorrow sometime. So, you just Happen to have half of your entire fleet stationed at that planet at that particular time? I count nearly 3000 ships, and I should remind you that the Empire's total surviving ships is 6750. Just a reminder.

Darth Ele, (did I get the name right?) sure you can join, we're always looking for more players. Anyone here could probably get you up to speed pretty fast, it's a little late for me to try tonight though.

OOC: Darth_Elu, we currently have a bunch of Sith and one Jedi on Iridonia. We have someone in charge of both the Empire and New Republic, and one or two minions of each. If you want to join, we could sure use more Jedi. (hint, hint) ;)

IC: Kaylen cursed. He'd been right: this ysalimari-carrier was an enemy, and now he was attacking. Force-hurling his lightsaber at the approaching vehicle, Kaylen was pleased with its speed. No human reflexes could dodge that without the Force!

Suddenly, Kaylen had an idea, but knew he didn't have the strength to do it, even here in this Force-well. "Feylis! Grab the largest boulder you can and drop it on him! We'll crush him!" Kaylen whipped out his double-sided lightsaber and rushed to defend the Sith Master.

OOC: A lightsaber and a rock. That'll teach you to mess with the Iridonian Sith! ;)

Mereth looked at the shortest male there...to the tall, scary guy...to the ysalamari guy...to the scary Sith lady...and to a rock...she grinned.

"Heya!! I can do that too!" She cried proudly. "I used to do that all the time when I was with me mum. She didn't appreciate it when she found the garden all littered with rocks. But I thought it looked purty...you would've too...if ya had been there.."

While she was chattering, she used her Force-powers to hurl a rock in the direction of the ysalamari man.

Brins brought up the sand infront of into a dune, about chest high, before the speeder's force bubble affected him. Brins ducked and the ship hit the dune and went over him. He then got up and made a sprint out of the force bubble and ignited his lightsaber. He turned to Kaylen, "Keep him busy. I'm going to coerce the dune worms into thinking the vehicle's and enemy."

OOC: Sure, Saintheart, it wasn't too much of a problem. Not too much has happened
since your dissappearance, but I think things may pick up now. I'll be sending you a PM
tonight.

Iridonia

So the Sith are hostile. I never should have believed they were trustworthy.

The lightsaber struck the side of the hovercraft, chipping off a quarter of an inch before being deactivated. Beneath the metal exterior was a web of cortosis ore, placed there just in case the Sith became aggressive. The lasers trained themselves upwards, quickly reducing the flying boulders to a shower of pebbles. A small hole opened up in the front of the craft, and fired a fragmentation grenade near Brins' feet to distract him, while the
lasers fired haphazardly at the other three, not necessarily to harm them, just to occupy
them.

Shadoloo transmitted a message to the ship, over the nearby mountains. "Daeshara, bring
the ship in right over us and land on top of them, we'll crush these warmongers like the
vermin they are!" He returned to the controls of his small warwagon, waiting for the ship to power up and pick him up.

OOC: Just a little bit of irony there. BTW, the ship isn't here yet, I want to keep this
going for a little while.

Yag'duhl

The ExO gulped at the sight of the fleet ahead of them. "Sir?"

Admiral Brey'lya switched on his commlink. "Master Skywalker, is your team prepared? Good, begin with Plan C, we'll show these rebels where their real place is."

The five thousand Republic ships at Yag'Duhl lurched into motion. Fighters poured out
of every launch bay, flight rack, and hangar, filling the space around the fleet with a cloud of Clawcraft and Bubblefighters, followed by several flights of K-Wings and Damorian Bombers.

The admiral highlighted the largest and most vicious-looking vessel as the subject of the
first strike, and eagerly awaited the lightshow. The A?vrek-Uni Fighter carriers, made to replace the bulk cruisers as transports for fighter groups, nosed upward, revealing their launch bays. Instead of fighters, they were filled with dozens of ion bombs, fitted on the body of missiles. The carriers fired off their load of ion bombs in the direction of the Emperor?s Fist. The K-Wings each had an ion missile strapped to their bellies, and fired off their cargo at the Fist also. The Damorian Bombers opened up their missile bays and
released four ion bombs apiece. In addition to the hail of missiles, the Flagships? three
hypervelocity guns added their firepower of 120 projectiles per minute, enough to tear
through the sheilds of a lesser craft in seconds. The escorts and frigates also fired off their proton torpedoes and concussion missiles to add the extra destructive power to the storm.

The ExO of the Flagship looked to the admiral and said, ?Are you sure this is a good idea? Those missiles were expensive, and were supposed to be kept for stripping planets of their sheilds, not individual ships.?

?What do you suggest, calling the missiles back? That ship caused countless deaths at
Fondor, and must be taken care of. I?m sure the chancellor will understand. Now, just
make sure that the ion bombs get within twenty miles of the Emperor?s Fist and prepare the ramships. Master Skywalker, how is it going?? Even from across the bridge, the strain on the fourteen Jedi?s faces was evident. They didnt speak but instead waved him away.

Seeing the monstrous wall of missles head twards them... rommel knew what to do.

"Have all fighters begin targeting the incomming missles. Bring the lancer frigates online, have them begin screeing the missles/projectiles as well. Move the fleet into attack formation... have them begin to target the largest ships the nr has to offer... well get them... if its the last thing we do..."

Yag'Duhl

The firepower of the NR fleet was brought to bear against the fighters and lancers, with the sole purpose of distracting them from their attacks against the missiles. The flagship rocked slightly from the foreward sheilds being slammed by turbolasers, but they held out.

The admiral turned the little red switch on his control board, sending a signal to the missiles to activate. Within seconds, they had cleared the distance across the void. As soon as the missiles reached the event horizon of the Emperor's Fist, they simultaneously detonated. The admiral called into his communicator for all ships to brace themselves. The nearly seven hundred remaining ion missiles and the scores of smaller concussion and proton torpedoes exploded in a blinding flash of light, quickly growing outwards to massive proportions. The light receded, but what remained was a rainbow of sparks and colored energy expanding in a ball, with hundreds of shockwaves coalescing into one great beam tearing through its center, slashing at the sheilds of the Emperor's fist at half the speed of light.

The monitors charged ahead of the NR fleet to release several more volleys of proton torpedoes just for good measure.

OOC: Probably not enough to do much damage to the ship itself, meant more to disable your sheilds. I'm sure some of the fighters and lancers would have been caught in the explosion.

"Correct, transver shield to the bow of the ship. And being an attack wit.... F-this i have a new plan, All fighters, gain torpedo lock on the NR Comand ship. Lauch now!"

all 122000 remaining tie defenders got locks apon the nr command ship. With two launchers each... they let out a mighty blast. 244000 Proton Torpedoes headed twards the unknowing ship. Soon nothing would be left but space debri.

The bridge section of the flagship rocketed away from the rest of the ship as soon as the missiles were sighted. The freighter-sized pod drifted away from the violent explosion beneath it. The lights on the bridge cut out, leaving only the slowly-cooling bridge, which was caught by a fighter carrier within minutes. The Vice Admiral on one of the Mon Pesce cruisers took over, ordering a final missile strike against the Imperial Flagship. Once a weakness in the sheilds was detected, the three thousand robot ramships flooded through the openings and dove at the vessel, with their fusion cutters and large metal hammerheads seeking out the most vulnerable and most vital areas. Once a ramship broke through the surface armor, it ignited the fissionable material in its hold, channeling the blast downwards into the ship.

The fighters streaked ahead of the capitol ships to clear a path for the larger vessels as they charged into the fray, weapons blazing. The fleet broke into two groups, both travelling across the port side of the Imperial flagship while encircling the Imperial armada. All of the missile tubes on the vessels were constantly streaming projectiles into the Imperial craft, while the gunnery stations worked to the point of overheating their weapons.

The K-Wings and bombers made runs against the weapon emplacements on the Emperor's Fist, firing off their armaments in bulk loads before returning to the fleet tenders to reload. The Escorts also made diving runs against the weapon emplacements before veering away from the fire and returning to the safety of the fleet.

Kaylen cursed. What was this thing? Ysalimari cages, grenades, multiple laser cannons, cortosis armor... the list seemed to go on and on. Well, it was still a hovercraft, and they had a major weakness: intake valves. Kaylen, blocking a few haphazard shots with his double-bladed saber, focused on the sand. Just a few grains at first, but quickly clouds of particles obscured the air.

OOC: What I'm doing: affecting the air currents I bit, to raise clouds of dust. The effect here: your hovercraft has to take in air, and I'm trying to clog the intakes. A repulsor vehicle might not have this trouble, but you said it was a hovercraft. Also, suspended sand would impair the effectiveness of lightsabers and confuse mechanical brains as to our actual location.

OOC: After reviewing the past few pages, it seems there's room enough for me to sneak back in...I didn't notice the Fifth Fleet, in orbit around Corellia, called up to battle duty, so this should be okay...any problems, let me know, guys...

IC:
1400 hours GalStandard
Ticonderoga Station
Corellia Orbit

Esterrel drew a deep breath. Fortress Corellia was almost complete. The completion of the Seventh Fleet's refit had accelerated matters by freeing up further resources from Corellia's shipyards. The Defel technologists had also worked to refine their designs, making the gravity well generators marking virtually all of the hyperspace routes smaller and more powerful. In a few hours, Corellia's early warning system would be complete, and no hyperspace-capable fleet would be able to make effective ingress into the system.

Which left him wondering about the progress of the campaign. He looked over at Memnon, who was monitoring comm frequencies. "Any word?"
"No, Es," said the ExO wearily. "Nothing yet."
Esterrel forced himself to relax; but it was, after all, one hell of a risk the High Admiral was taking.

But there was only the waiting to be done at this end.

Hundreds of ram ships plowed into the armor of the flag ship. To bad it would help too much. Knowing that the ship was designed to have the outer most layers and decks to be utterly useless... only a few weapon sytems we destroyed... Still the integrity of the ship was holding.

The imperial craft left knew what to do next. The began focusing their attacks on the remaining Mc-240's (i care to see some stats about these made up ships and the rest of your fleet since most dont exist).

A mighty blast of green blasts filled the air. All shots were headed twards the mc-240's... soon nothing would be left of them. The rest of the lancer frigates ant neb-b's swarmed around the emperors fist as the crews worked to bring the backup shields on line very quickly(just as fast as a mc-80's used to be, but still at least 10x stronger than a SSD).

OOC: Thok, if nothing too dramatic comes up then I will have those stats to you and
anyone else who wants them sometime this evening. Also, the ramships are detonating
several megatons of nuclear munitions inside of the hull of your ship, hence the
"fissionable material" being ignited. If they really arent doing any damage, then oh
well...

Yag'Duhl

The fire coming at the Mon Pesces seemed to dissipate before reaching the ships or
simply were not affecting the sheilds of any but a few of the MC-240s.

The ExO informed the admiral that the sheilds on the Fist seemed to be restarting.

"Do you have a lock on their shield generators yet?" The Admiral asked. The Captain nodded, but said that they were buried pretty deeply.

"Not a problem. Target their flagship with all available Ion cannons. We'll make them
dead in the water."

The unified force of thousands of ion cannons flashed down at the Emperor's Fist,
spreading a shower of ionized electrons and positrons, seeking out electrical circuits,
wiring, and computer systems. Following the ion cannons, the bombers and K-Wings
returned to the scene, dropping thousands of penetration bombs into the holes made by
the ramships. The bombs free-fell until just before impact, almost as cold and invisible as space, then ignited their rocket engine and tunneled deep into the heart of the ship before exploding.

One of the Peacemakers, the great-granddaughter of the Imperial Star Destroyer, moved right next to the command tower and fired with all of its turbolasers simultanously at point-blank range.

Three monitors positioned themselves directly behind and beneath the engines, and opened fire at the drive systems, while the MC-240s remained on the port side of the Emperor's Fist, picking off the weapon systems. The smaller and mid-sized vessels formed a perimeter around the heaviest NR vessels to provide fire support.

Iridonia

OOC: I said hovercraft because it really isnt a landspeeder. I should have made that more clear. Good job, you caught me on a technicality.

IC: The hovercraft crashed down onto the desert sand with a sickening thunk. Shadoloo flew up off his seat and hit his head against the ceiling on the way down, and a bump started forming.

WTF was that?

The Sith outside didn't look too happy, and he wasn't either. He reset the power generator and activated the engine's cleaning cycle. The lasers came back on-line and blazed away at the Sith to keep them back. He then pulled open a floor panel and took out a shoulder-mounted proton torpedo launcher, which he always kept around in case of trouble. The Jedi pushed open the roof hatch and stuck his upped body out, aiming the rocket at the nearest sith and firing. He dove back into the hovercraft and slammed the hatch shut, then waited for the blast.

C'mon Daeshara, where are you?

OOC: Please stop pulling weapon systems out... you're a Jedi, you seemed to want to try diplomacy and you attacked first. What sort of dimplomatic landspeeder, used by Jedi, carries this much weaponry?

IC: Kaylen cursed again. A proton grenade arced toward him, but as it cleared the Ysalimari bubble, he Force-grabbed it and began trying to force it back toward the vehicle. He realized that he wouldn't make it alone. "Hey, blondie!" he shouted to the shortest Sith. "Give me a hand here!"
