    Lovely! CAN'T WAIT. :D I've started reading it, but the local comic shop wasn't so keen and they only got the first issue and #00. And I failed to find all of them online.

    End of November just got closer! Though Dark Horse potentially losing Star Wars puts a dampener on this.

    Oh dear... Has anything official been announced yet as far as DH goes? I understand that they are likely to be dropped out in favour of Marvel -another "family member", but the Dark Horse contribution to the Star Wars universe over the last decade has been immense...

    Nothing official. I do not believe we know how long Dark Horse's contract runs for, to be honest. Though Disney did cut short some contracts when they couped Disney...

    We'll have to see, that's all.

    As newbie to these forums, but not SW, Dawn of the Jedi is the reason why I decided to finally sign on.

    This series has reignited my love for Star Wars, so I am looking forward to discussing DotJ with everyone else.

    Have to say this is the very first time I've ever enjoyed potential dark siders (proto-Sith) too. Can't wait for PoB #2 tomorrow. :)

    Dawn of the Jedi has made the EU intriguing and original. I love how masters encourage their apprentices to give in to the Dark Side.

    I'm sure this has been asked at some time before. But I'm new to the star wars eu novels, and I am really enjoying them so far. However my question is why is there such a time gap between "the dawn of the jedii" and the next era of novels? I personally really enjoyed the dawn of the jedii. But I really wish there was more about that era in the eu. It really seems like author's could really come up with a lot of back story during these times, but there is only the one novel. Is there a certain reason why there hasn't been any more books written in that part of the time line? Excluding comics which do not really interest me that much. Thanks guys.

    It may well be because of comics and the wind down of the EU as we knew it. Though I still don't consider it dead.

    Nobody really expanded on that era originally, and then when they deemed it Legends it was pushed aside for the new canon.
    It only started in 2012 with the comic series, so that's why there's so much less than the other eras where they had thirty plus years to expand on it.

    Hmm, I think that's to bad. Seems like there is a lot of potential that could be had there. Especially when it's a time that happened over 20,000 years before the other eras. Plenty of room to expand other stories.
