According to IMDB, The Big Red One is an Action / Drama / War movie that is rated R for war violence and some language. I'm not sure it fits in with what we normally watch, especially since the tagline is "The real glory of war is surviving."

Here is a fun fact though, my uncle took care of Lee Marvin's cat after he passed away who was named Cat Ballou. I'm not sure how he ended up with Cat Ballou, I think they were neighbors and the cat was an outdoor cat that my uncle started taking care of after he passed.

Trust me, TBRO is not a party movie. Although seeing Lee Marvin get his helmet decorated with flowers and some dude's, um, *cough* 'nads blown off is pretty funny. :p It's actually got a lot of hilarious stuff in there, but...no. ;)

I think at parties like that its more fun to watch short clips so you can socialize a little more or come and go from sitting down for two hours of viewing, but its the host and everyones choice. --Billy

Sorry, inside joke from the last HS party. :p

We watched old videotapes of news reports about the opening of ROTJ (which were hilarious just from the anchor hairdos and retarded reviews), and apparently the press was given only one clip to show from the movie. After like the hundredth time they ran the bit where Luke and Leia go after the biker scouts, we just joined in on cue and yelled at the screen, "I see them, wait, LEIA!!!" [face_laugh]

It was great seeing everyone this afternoon and hanging out.Iit was great getting to share some of the shorts that I'd never show at a library (not to mention that sensational Donnie & Marie episode). I only wish I could have stayed longer to see what everyone else brought--I'm sure it was cool. Heck, it's 8:30 right now so I bet you guys are still at it!
