I wouldn't say I had any designing skill either. All of what you see it me playing in Photoshop. I take pics from the StarWars website and resize them to fit properly. Then I just overlay the characters using the cut and paste tools and mess around with the colour settings until they kinda match.

I like the text, but thats just a case of typing the words in, then adjusting their opacity to let it sit nicely on the background.

If you have photoshop or something similar I recommend having a go, its easier than it looks. I enjoyed making them, and I certainly won't be fussed if they are never used.

First Banner click and drag to address box.
Second Banner click and drag to address box.

How are everyone elses doing ?

p.s. click and drag here to see a neat Tie-fighter I made using funky filters in Photoshop.

Looks like we posted at about the same time, Malkie! :)

Nice tie... Isn't photoshop fun? There are so many things that can be done with it...

What about the Jedi Code listed on the front page of the website?

thanks for the positive feedback people :)

we could do with a few creations by people other than myself, then we could maybe have a vote on our favourite

I think it would be a good idea to print off everyones ideas and bring them to the meeting to vote on.

The site is coming along ok. We are having a little bit of trouble with the actual layout (where to put things) but that's because we're perfectionists. :) We are hoping to finish this weekend.

    And the banner looks great!

I'd rather have the Capitol in the background, not the White House. (Don't want to go into it!)

Besides, Galactic Senate is closer to the Capitol. White House is more like the Chancellor's official office (whatever that looks like).

Malkie, just for you, we will work it in.

I've been meaning to ask you... What font did you use for the lettering on the banner? We have an idea and want to use the same font.

erm, I'll have to get back to you on the font. I'm in my lab, and I haven't got Photoshop on this PC - its on my office PC.

I'll be up there soon :)

I *think* it was something starting with a G :)

*blushes* thanks if you can work my little pic into the website !

ok, I've been upstairs, wrote the font name down, and left the piece of paper up there.

I remember it now though, it starts with an 'H' and sounds German. Hattenburg or something [face_plain]

If you don't have the font I could probably email it to you, or I could type out the words you need, and email them to you.

I always liked the code on the Jedi Apprentis books:
    Peace over Anger
    Honor over Hate
Strenghth over Fear. Idon'tknow if you can use these without permission we could develope our own since we have so many Dark Jedi.
Do you think anyone would be interested on Jedi Health tips on the web site? I mean they would be real health tips from a real nurse. Maybe one a week or something. Just an idea.

I see no problem having both codes - I'm an open minded dark Jedi! I'm keeping all Force options open.

And I like the health tips too. We'd have a useful website!

TK and I plan to have the site done before I go on vacation (which is the 5th). So yes, it should be done by the next meeting. We might not have time to incorporate everything everyone has suggested, but things can always be added later. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, please keep 'em coming!
