We need more co-op games!
No spoilers in this post!
I've played the first 4-5 hours, and you'll be really surprised with how the story unfolds. I'm afraid to say though that this game isn't scary. At all. It's an action game, plain and simple. A hell of an enjoyable action game, but hardly a horror game like the previous two.
My fears about the micro-transaction system were unimportant, as ammo is more than plentiful. Too plentiful IMO, but I'm playing on normal for the first playthrough.
Crafting system is excellent. Really, really good. Even better than in the demo.
A pity it is not scary anymore. I guess the first one is still the best game of the series.
Well, with it being more open-world and not confined in dark spaces that was always likely to be the case.
Actually, I think the second is my favourite. It has a really good mix of action set-pieces and truly horrific moments.
Yeah I thought the second was scarier because there were a lot more scenes in the dark and you didn't just have monsters lying on the floor or running in a straight line towards you like you did most of the time in the first one.
But I think the first had a better story.
Wasn't a Marker discovered on Earth?
The Black Marker, yeah.
That's what the Red Marker was based on.
I know. I always thought they would make a game set on Eath focusing on "the Marker".
