So the nature doesn't necessarily have to be trees?

 

Nah, of course not. But it should be featuring prominently. It's just that I like trees best, and so the heading came easier to me. Except that it's stolen.

Well, I managed to put nature in my two diary updates... sort of.

A force of nature, a tsunami, and an aquatic animal laid Tiin up in the hospital, and he was updating from the hospital bed.

And Kavin longs for the fields and forests of his homeworld... or at least longs to get off the duracrete jungle of Coruscant.

I guess that would qualify as featuring nature.

 

Well, no nature in my posts so far. Can't see any coming either.
If there's suddenly green meadows and butterfies all aruond in the next update, I'll blame this challenge.

 

I was up for the challenge! So sad...we're down to 15 diaries.

Well, I might have given in, if tatooine desert counts. It's more nature's nightmare, but well, got to fit the story.

And I might have to drop out for the sake of my story, too. Or post biweekly instead of weekly. Haven't made up my mind yet.
Too little stroy left for the remaining time.

And I'm not alone with the challenging. I got help from Alexis.

 

I've some bad news. I'm leaving "Left Behind" behind... removing it from the challenge... though I may update it now and then.

BTW, what's this month's challenge? Something scary?

I'll just took it to the (much too big) Diary Graveyard.

And, because I'm curious: How many of you keep a diary in rl, too?

I don't I'm too forgetful, and never remember to write in it. I tried...

 

I don't keep a diary in real life, I have so much writing to do with school that I just don't have the time. I do feel like ff satisfies a lot of my creative writing needs and have even used my RL experiences as inspiration for fanfic. Especially my fics about Mara dealing with Ben--can you say snarky 12 year old???

Scary???? Hmmmmm....now how can I incorporate that into my diary....

 

Scary? hmm. OC's coming to visit my diary writers maybe. I am setting them up in that other non diary fic.

 

Well, I just updated "Growing in the Force", and I think it qualifies as scary.

As for your question, MsLanna, I used to keep a diary when i was about 12 or so... never did make regular entries.

 

We are 'rounding the home stretch!

 

I can hardly believe it's been a whole year!

Sooo... when does the next diary challenge start?

 

I will soon approach the mod squad about a sock for the challenge. The new thread will then come up early December, I think.

And since we're at the topic already: Voting a Winner! It's coming. But when? Would you want the voting to be at the end of December with Darth Christmas and holiday interfereing, or at the beginning of January?

I was thinking about a two week period for everybody to get the votes to me, and also, I wanted to ask everybody (excepts socks) over to joind the fun.

Opinions?

 

beginning of january because Darth brother is having his birthday with Christmass and Darth colleagues are away two weeks leaving one archivist and me at the townhall to do a job. And with candles and fireworks it is quite busy with the firedepartment. Darth Hooligan and co setting fire to old cars and tyres

 

January would probably be best for the voting.

 

So the current diary challenge will end December 31st--right???

I've got all but the last post of my diary written (even though I've neglected it for so long) and I'll be done before Thanksgiving

I tried a couple times to keep a diary, but I always kept abandoning them.

I can't believe this challenge is almost over! If someone had told me 18 months ago that I'd be involved in a year long challenge, I would've laughed myself blue!

Hmmmmm....I'm up for the latest challenge, just need to tweak a scene to make it work. Wonder who my OC will miss?????

 

Well, this challenge just slides right in with where my outline was going anyway!
