I hope not, because I already have a plan for next year's diary, too. Actually I came up with two ideas, but I like the second one better.

The mini challenge for May is Spring, for obvious reasons.

When I think of May, I think of Beltane which then makes me think of Celtic myths and what not but I thought we'd just keep it as simple as possible and go with Spring.

I have to ask a question (which is also a bit of a spoiler) regarding the rules for the journal for next year...

Is it possible to journal about two people in the same journal? Actually, one person, but two personalities?

I don't see why not. It's still just one character.

Well, it is a diary. And usually only one person writes a diary. So it should only be one POV.

Although it's not really stated in the rules...

The former host has been very strict and demanded that there's only one character writing in a diary, or the entry is well explained or it's something repeated in the diary or a letter glued into it or something.

Like Frodo leaving the last few pages to Sam. That's okay.

Hey, I just have a quick question. My diary has been complying with canon so far, but I want to make it AU now (yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll admit it, I'm running out of ideas), am I allowed to do that and still be in the competition?

Of course. You can write whatever you want. I doesn't have to comply with canon at all. Have fun with the AU.
