Please list your top ten favourite movies of all time.

Actually scratch that. Just list ten movies you like.

    Thanks,

He's still penning the list. Could take a while.

"I mean, I enjoyed it, but I can list too many faults to say I actually liked it. Like, that actor crossed the street without looking both ways for traffic. Ruined my suspension of disbelief entirely."

Why not just have him list 10 movies that he's heard of?

IIRC, he said in the "last movie you saw" thread that he liked Looper well enough, though of course that was with its own set of caveats.

I will gladly make my first addition to this list. Abraham Lincoln: The Movie. This was an excellent film. Well-acted, and a reasonable imitation of the period. Not a single boring moment. The whole of it was run through with fine dialogue, and crafted to maintain a healthy suspense throughout. Finally, at the end of the year, we have a gift of something that has been almost absent in the last calendar year: a good movie. Not merely a tolerable one. Not one that was adequate accompaniment to an evening snack of popcorn. An actual good movie that you should make a point of seeing. Now get to it.

The opening "Deliver Us" cinematic of the Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite film sequences ever. Though it's somewhat disappointing when you grow up and realize how liberally they embellished the Exodus narrative.
